Red Chevrolet Astro DayVan
My campervan, she’s a beauty with such character. She gets compliments everywhere you go. She’s easeful to drive – the seats are dead comfy. She’s been uniquely & hand crafted with love. A true home away from home – comfortable to live in.
Great off road & low enough to fit under all height barriers yet have no trouble on speed bumps/off road- in excellent working order.
Will be a great buy for someone. Absolutely ideal if you’re practically minded to maintain her and make further refinements.
Comes with the Haynes manual for parts.
Comes with a battery pack which provides internal lighting for the evenings. The bed up and down electric mechanism is driven by the van main battery. The main battery also has a ‘kill switch’ to ensure you don’t drain the battery unnecessarily. There’s a pretend ‘fire’ you can see in the photos, which is just for effect (AA batteries)
There’s an old fitted CD/radio player, which I’ve not used. Not sure if it works.
Comes with some oils for brakes and engine.
There’s no sink, but see the last photos for the water container stored neatly under the stove unit.
She was originally blue (that shows up on DVLA I think). She was painted red by a previous owner. Inside the doors you can still see the original colour.

– the bed forward backward mechanism doesn’t work. It makes no difference. The bed still goes down.
– if you’re 6ft plus, you’ll need something to rest your feet on whilst sleeping.

It’s been converted. It’s ideal for a day or a weekend trip, or if you supplement the space with an awning for longer trips. It’s got a bed, some storage and gas stove. Other than that, it’s oozing with character and is a beautiful place to hang out/ sleep.
The rear seat has an electric switch that flattens down to make a bed 135cm * 135cm. If you’re on your own, you can sleep diagonally. Or as a couple, It’s ideal to have a pouffe to put your feet on.
