This Heritage vehicle was used by North Western Regional Health Authority until 1980, registered in Oldham. Weโve been informed, blue was their colour of the day.
Totally rebuilt and refurbished using a Richardโs galvanised chassis, upgraded with a 200TDi engine. Original gearbox reconditioned by SImonites. The original coach built bodywork by Herbert Lomas is constructed as an aluminium skin over an ash and oak frame. It been totally restored, insulated and bonded inside with marine ply to make it more comfortable, and rigid than originally.
New wiring loom supplied by Autosparks. There are two batteries, one leisure and one โnormalโ because the interior has been converted into a unique, cosy camper van. Two bench seats, with lockers underneath, additional storage over cab, and the pedestal table can be transformed into a huge double bed. There is multifunctional LED lighting, digital radio, usb ports, 12 volt socket. Blackout blinds ensure darkness for sleeping. There is also a discrete Portapotti . Original fold down steps allow easy access at the back.
Our drive away awning with extras could be negotiated as part of the sale for more space and greater flexibility on travels.
This Landy is a real head turner, and puts a smile on faces. Always drawing attention on the road, at a Rallies, festivals and campsites, and no matter how muddy, youโll get off the site!
