Renault Master 120 LWB ex Welsh Ambulance
Campbulance is based on 2006 LWB Renault Master with a 2.5 diesel engine with 6 gear manual gearbox. These were chosen by NHS as very reliable and powerful vehicles. It lived most of it’s live as Welsh Ambulance so serviced every 6 weeks. Since I bought it in 2018 I carried on servicing every 6-8k miles. Vehicle had cambelt replaced in 2018 @184k miles. Vehicle has a full rear air suspension which makes it more stable on the road. Clutch replaced in Oct 2021 @206k.

Campbulance has few little dents and scratches but nothing major and all protected from elements.
Campbulance is excellent and comfortable cruiser sits quite happily at 70-80mph speeds on motorways whether it is Cornwall or Scotland. Never has failed us on many happy hiking, kayaking, cycling trips all over the Country and Europe.
Campbulance is a self converted Van. It has been a home, a friend and an excellent travel companion. Has been a trully loved one and took us on many happy adventures in the UK and abroad. Only selling as new chapter for our family has come – we are expecting twins and Campbulance has not got enough seats for all 4 of us!
It is ready to be either campsite or an off grid camper.

-Sink with cover, electric shurflo trail king pump with fiamma accumulator to provide constant flow/pressure and extend pumps life
-20 litre fresh and 20 l grey water containers (enough to keep your water fresh all the time and easy to fill in)
– 38 litre Dometic CoolFun CK40D Hybrid fridge – 12/240v compressor (temp range between 10 and -15 deg Celcius)

2x 110Ah Xtreme AGM (XR1750) leisure batteries

2.5mm Arctic cable and IP68 graded junction boxes used for 240v installation
4x USB in the living area for charging phones, bike lights, speakers
Many 240v sockets, to use both with campsite hookup and Inverter.
6x warm light celling mounted LED lights, 2x reading lights by bed, fairy lights, additional lights in “the garage”
Insulation and sound proofing:
– Campbulance is fully insulated with 75mm eco sheep wool, then covered with moisture barrier before fibreglass panels (originated from abmulance conversion) and tongue&groove cladding installed
– Bespoke “Map of the world” themed Blackout and thermal curtains made for all windows.
– Insulated thermal covers for front cabin windows
– Dado Matt Sound deadening throughout to make it more enjoyable to drive
Campbulance has ample of storage to keep your stuff:
– ex ambulance overhead lockers for clothing
– massive under bed storage
– wardrobe for hanging wetsuits or shirts with shoe rack at the bottom
– additional under seat storage
– bespoke wine box drawers all around to keep your food and crockery
– on wall hanging kitchen cabinet handy for keeping coffee, breakfast cereals etc
– shelves with copper railings to store kettle, mugs etc.
– additional storage over driver’s cab
There is a diesel heater to keep you warm during those winter evenings or to help you dry wetsuits or walking gear when necessary.
Equipped with set of bug nets for sliding door and roof windows to protect you from blood hungry midges.
Campulance has roof rack (3 bars) which we used for transporing our 4.8m kayak, as well as bicycle rack for 2 bikes on a bespoke spare wheel carrier.

Campbulance is also equiped with a portable chemical toilet situated under one of the bench seats.
Pictures from conversion process available to view. Vehicle has been weight after conversion – 3260Kg is weight with all camping kit and a driver inside (which is noted on the receipt from weigh bridge).
Campbulance is a 2/3 berth self build camper. It has a permanent double bed (140x173cm) at the rear of the vehicle. It can also have an additional single bed in the sitting area (75x173cm). This additional bed is not fully done, we never had a need to use it hence not finished. Cushions are ready made for it (as per one of the pictures) but it needs a piece of board to link two side benches to make it into bed.
