Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Mercedes Vito 2011, 2143cc diesel, 6-speed manual gearbox. Rear-wheel drive. He does around 37-40mpg and can cover approximately 600 miles on a full tank. His engine is in excellent condition, with a full service history. Currently at 228,700 miles (which will increase slightly as I’m still using him). These are known as million-mile engines, and he’ll happily do a lot more! MOT until late 2025.

Big Veets started life as a trade van, family-owned by the converter, before I bought him in 2023. He’s incredibly easy and comfortable to drive and fits neatly into a standard parking bay. His bodywork is in good condition for his age – with a few small marks and dents, mostly on the rear doors and sills, which I’ve tried to show in the photos.

Although he’s small, he’s super cosy and liveable, designed to handle all seasons off-grid. He’s built for comfortable year-round use – even in a Highland winter!

His bed is big enough to lounge on during the day without needing to pack away bedding every morning. It pulls out another couple of feet for sleeping and comfortably sleeps one person (and a dog) – even if you’re tall, as you can sleep diagonally. Two people could fit if both are petite. The mattress is made from four IKEA children’s modular mattress pieces that fit together to form a short but wide double (160 x 170 cm).
