Vehicle Description

2015 Peugeot Boxer 335 L3H2 HDi
£17,950 ONO
Christchurch, Dorset
127,246 miles | MOT until 24 April 2027 | 4 belted travelling seats | Permanent double bed

A spacious and genuinely versatile four person campervan, with four belted travelling seats, a permanent double bed and a layout designed around actually using the van for longer trips.

The two cab seats swivel around to face a double rear seat, creating a comfortable four person lounge and dining area. The permanent bed means there is no need to dismantle the living space every night, while the central passage through the van can accommodate items up to a 9’6″ surfboard.

This is my personal conversion, built, used and substantially refined over the past six years. The conversion began in 2020 and was extensively redesigned and refitted in September 2025 following trips around the UK and France.

A lot of the design has been developed through actually using the van, rather than simply building it and selling it. The result is a practical, well equipped camper with plenty of storage, good ventilation, extensive insulation and a comprehensive off grid electrical, water and heating system.

I am selling because my circumstances have changed and the van simply isn’t being used enough. I’d much rather see it being used and enjoyed than sitting on the driveway.

The highlights
• Four belted travelling seats
• Four person lounge and dining area

Vehicle
• 2015 Peugeot Boxer 335 L3H2 HDi
• 2.2L turbo diesel
• 130 bhp / 320 Nm
• 6 speed manual
• 127,246 miles
• MOT until 24 April 2027
• 3 previous owners
• 2 keys, including one remote central locking key
• Rear parking sensors
• Reversing camera
• Drives well with no known mechanical faults

The 2.2 HDi engine uses a timing chain rather than a cambelt, so there is no routine cambelt replacement interval to budget for.
The van has also been weighed at a local weighbridge at 2.74 tonnes, with a full LPG cylinder. The maximum permitted weight is 3.5 tonnes.

Recent maintenance
• Spring 2026: Handbrake fully adjusted
• August 2025: Engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, cabin air filter and engine air filter replaced
• Recent years: Front brake discs and pads replaced
• June 2022: Rear brake discs, pads and associated components replaced, rear brakes serviced and vehicle battery replaced
• July 2022: Front tyres replaced
• September 2021: Rear tyres replaced

Tyres: Two front tyres were replaced in July 2022 and the two rear tyres were replaced in September 2021. The van has covered approximately 10,000 miles since January 2022 and the tyres currently have plenty of tread remaining. Relevant invoices are available.

Invoices are available for some of the above work.

The conversion
More than £10,000 was spent on conversion materials and equipment, in addition to a considerable amount of time spent designing and building the interior.

That money was spent during the original build, before the substantial price increases seen across many building, electrical and other materials in the years since. In general inflation terms, £10,000 spent in 2020 is equivalent to around £13,200 today, while some construction materials have increased considerably more than general consumer prices.

The conversion includes the kitchen, fridge, heating, solar system, leisure batteries, B2B charging, inverter, LPG system, water system, toilet, shower, insulation, windows, roof ventilation, bed, seating, storage and associated fittings and materials.

For anyone considering building a camper themselves, the cost of the components is only part of the equation. There is also the considerable time involved in designing, sourcing, building, wiring, plumbing, testing and then refining everything.

That work has already been done here, and the layout has subsequently been substantially refined following real use around the UK and France.

Four belted travelling seats

One of the main advantages of this conversion is the four seat layout.

The two cab seats swivel around to face a Mercedes Sprinter double rear seat, creating a four person lounge and dining area.

The rear seat is securely bolted through the floor using heavy duty spreader plates.

There is no formal engineer’s certificate for the rear seat installation, so this is being disclosed clearly for the buyer.

The four seat arrangement makes the van considerably more flexible than a typical two berth camper. It allows four people to travel together while retaining a proper living and sleeping area.

Permanent double bed
• Approximately 140cm x 184cm
• 10cm foam mattress
• Permanent sleeping area
• Split into two sections
• One section can be folded up when additional rear space or access to the toilet area is required
• Bed remains usable with the rear passenger seat occupied

Flexible dining area

The dining table is designed to make the most of the available space.
• Slides forwards and backwards
• Can be removed easily
• Extensions on both sides
• Allows the layout to be adapted for different uses

With the cab seats swivelled around, the table creates a practical four person dining and living area.

Storage and long item storage

Storage was a major consideration when designing the layout.
• Large underfloor storage between the cab and rear seating
• Central passage accommodates up to a 9’6″ surfboard
• Rear garage storage with practical racking
• Removable middle shelf for taller or longer equipment
• Clothes rails fitted inside both rear doors

The central passage is particularly useful for anyone carrying surfboards, bikes, outdoor equipment or other long items.

Kitchen
• Smeg Alba stainless steel undermount sink
• Reginox Obion mixer tap
• Navy Load double burner LPG hob with glass lid
• Alpicool 50L 12V compressor fridge with freezer compartment
• Real wood worktops
• Extendable worktop section
• Pull out additional work surface
• Two large soft close drawers
• Additional utility drawer

Water, toilet, shower and heating
• 95L internal fresh water tank
• Dometic 12V water pump
• CBE tank level indicator
• Accessible under sink waste water container
• Thetford Porta Potti toilet
• Rear shower area
• Vellamo thermostatic shower mixer and shower kit
• Outdoor shower accessed through the rear doors
• Plumbing in place for a future hot water boiler
• Propex HS2000 12V LPG blown air heater
• Two heating outlets
• Analogue thermostat

The folding section of the bed provides privacy around the rear shower area.

Electrical system
• 200W solar across two panels
• 30A ECO WORTHY PWM solar controller
• 2 x 120Ah lead acid leisure batteries
• 60A Sterling B2B charger
• 600W Durite pure sine wave inverter
• Two internal 230V sockets
• Five USB charging points
• Dimmable LED lighting
• CTEK charging adapters fitted for easy mains charging

CTEK mains charger is not included.

Gas system
• Gaslow R67 11kg refillable LPG cylinder
• Integrated gas level gauge
• External floor vent
• Dedicated gas locker
• Regulator
• Supplies the hob and Propex heater
• Spare outlet available for an external BBQ connection

The LPG cylinder was full when the van was weighed.

Insulation and ventilation
The van has been extensively insulated and soundproofed.
• 25mm PIR insulation to floor, walls and ceiling
• Additional insulation wool in cavities and doors
• Aluminium tape vapour barrier
• Dodo soundproofing
• Ply lining
• Carpet and wood effect wall finishes

Ventilation includes:
• Opening side and rear privacy windows
• Mosquito nets
• Blackout blinds
• Fiamma 400 x 400 roof skylight
• 12V roof fan above the bed, capable of extraction or intake

Exterior features and extras
• Side door awning light
• Integrated rain drip rail above side door
• Thule double bike rack
• Roof bar brackets ready for an awning
• Thule levelling ramps
• Two camping chairs
• Fresh water hose
• Reimo Isoflex thermal cab window blinds

Honest condition and cosmetic disclosures
This is a used 2015 vehicle and, as with any older van, it has some cosmetic imperfections. I have included photographs of these so that buyers can see the condition clearly before arranging a viewing.
• Bonnet: Paint is peeling/flaking in places. This is cosmetic and the new owner can choose whether to leave it, wrap it or have it resprayed.
• Roof: Small dent on the driver’s side.
• Passenger side: Evidence of a previous scrape around the wheel arch trim.
• Other minor marks: Visible in the photographs.
• Roof gutter seams: Rubberised protective coating has discoloured over time. This is cosmetic and has been applied as weatherproofing.
• Reversing camera: Works correctly, although the dashboard monitor requires one manual button press to display the image after the system powers on.

I have deliberately included photographs of the cosmetic areas rather than trying to hide them.

Remaining finishing touches
There are a couple of small jobs which I have deliberately left for the new owner.
• Cupboard handles have not been fitted, allowing the buyer to choose their preferred style.
• The rear shower/toilet floor section is removable and has been designed so a recessed shower tray and curtain could be added if wanted.

Additional photographs and video
I have a Google Photos folder containing many additional photographs, including images from the original conversion and the 2025 refit, together with a short video tour.
I am happy to send the link to anyone seriously considering the van.
