REDUCED - 2016 Peugeot Boxer Full Off-Grid Conversion

Layout:
The van has been lovingly converted over the last three years. It is a 2 berth with a full sized fixed double bed to the rear of the van, midnight blue units and finished with solid oak trimmings. The garage under the bed can easily fit bicycles and offers plenty of extra storage to what is offered in the living area. The garage also houses the fresh water tank, water heater, electrical system and an additional shower head for cleaning muddy paws, boots or bicycles. The kitchen lives on the side of the sliding door, including 2 burner gas hob, Thetford duplex oven and grill, 90 litre Vitrifrigo fridge freezer, sliding pull out larder unit, as well as a deep pan drawer, 3 drawers including cutlery drawer and a handy pull out spice rack for the chefs amongst you. There are also two overhead cupboards. On the driver side there is a full height internal shower with hot water and Thetford porta-potti toilet with pump flush, the kitchen sink; again with hot running water and an overhead cupboard, a bench seat with extra storage and the diesel heater underneath. There is also a handy bookshelf and three wall mounted cupboards over the bed. If all that storage isn’t enough, there is also a huge space above the cab for bulky items. The van is fully insulated and has Dodo acoustic sound deadening panels. On the passenger side, there is an outdoor fold down table for those beautiful summer evenings.

Fully off grid electrical system:
540 watts of solar (2 x 270W Solar Panels) controlled by MPPT charge controller, 150AH Lithium battery, Victron energy smart shunt. 1500W pure sine wave inverter. Mains hookup.

Water/Gas system:
A 75 litre freshwater tank is situated in the garage so no need to worry about the water system freezing. Water filter, Shurflo Trail King 7 30PSI Water Pump and a Shurflo expansion vessel. There is a Joolca instant hot water heater feeding both showers and the kitchen sink. A 100 litre waste tank is undermounted with a drain valve to the side of the van for easy drainage. A 25ltr undermounted gas tank feeds the Joolca hot water heater, hob and oven. There is a gas shut off valve inside the van to control the gas flow at the press of a button. Both the gas and water have externally mounted fill up points.

Air heating/ventilation:
There are 3 roof lights fitted: One over the double bed and one over the kitchen which both have fitted bug screens and black out blinds. The third is over the shower with a fly screen so no critters can get in to disturb your lovely warm shower. A Chinese diesel heater is fitted under the bench seat with two outlets; one into the living area and the second into the garage, which helps with the air circulation and heats up the space quickly.

Lighting & Power:
The van is lit with LED spotlights in the ceiling, including the shower. There are also undermounted LED bars on the underside of all kitchen cupboards, an LED bar in the garage and also two adjustable reading lights on either side of the bed. In the kitchen, there is a double 240V socket plus two USB’s for when you are hooked up to the mains, as well as another 240V socket controlled by the inverter for when you are off grid. Above the bed there is another double USB outlet for off grid use, and a further, inverter controlled 240V outlet in the garage.
