I bought the van a little while ago but, as with so many things, took a rather long time to get round to converting her. The intention was, initially to do it myself but a lack of time (and the prospect of it being a bit shabby) I got her professionally converted by Born Wild Campers, who have done an absolutely amazing job of creating a unique, tranquil yet very functional camper.
Van:
– 2017 Ford transit custom, 2l diesel, ULEZ compliant
– Trend model – heated windscreen, heated mirrors, parking sensors etc.
– Full MOT and service history – due to go for MOT and full service Monday 2nd October. All front brake discs and pads replaced and previous MOT.
– Body work very straight aside a key scratch down the passenger side. Pretty superficial.
– Mechanically impeccable, not a single issue.
– 1 previous owner from whom I bought the van, a painter and decorator who kept it in very good condition
– V5C, 2 keys.
A beautiful, scandi style camper conversion. I have only had the pleasure of using her for a two week trip around Europe from which I have just returned. Sadly I must now sell her as I am moving abroad.

Camper:
– Base – stripped back, deep cleaned, any exposed metal primed and painted.
– Walls – Dodo sound deadening, Dodo thermo liner, vapour barrier, Dodo fleece (for cavities), MRMDF panelling
– Floor – sound deadening, hard cell foam insulation, 12mm hard wood ply. Marked a bit from use. I was going to fit a marine style floor but actually really like the ply and the scars from use. I put a rug down when in the bench setup and it feels very cosy!
– Roof – varnished pine shadow slats
– Electrics – 12V leisure set up. AGM deep cycle battery, Victron battery to battery charger, 2 x USB sockets, cabling ready for fridge/other electronics if desired
– Lighting – 2 x spot lights + shadow strip lighting.
– Rooflight – Maxxair SkyMaxx 700x500mm with integrated blind and fly screen. 3 opening positions so can be opened a crack even in heavy rain to allow ventilation but can also be opened all the way up to full star gaze.
– Bed – CAMIT design bench seat campervan bed (https://camitdesign.com/bench-seat-campervan-bed/), 2 separate units. The one furthers forward provides plenty of storage, the one to the rear retro fitted with a full length pull out draw on heavy duty sliders for storage and provides space to cook etc outside. 1900mm total length, in seat position, the bench measures 750mm in width, extending to 1300mm when converted into a bed – small double, ideal for bedding. I currently have a very comfortable futon which folds in half when in the bench position with a mattress topper. Happy to include if desired.
As you can see a huge amount of time, effort and money has been spent on this beautiful van and it pains me to see her go, but she must be used and enjoyed! In extremely good condition all round.
