Mercedes Sprinter 314
OPEN TO OFFERS IN THE REGION OF £28000 Owned by Mercedes this Sprinter started life as a refrigerated delivery van. All servicing was subsequently carried out by Mercedes, which means it has been well looked after. A low 82k has been covered, so it’s got many more miles to travel for many more adventures. It’s super easy to drive with large mirrors, a reversing camera and a 7 speed automatic gear box. It passed the MOT with no advisories on the 8.4.25. It’s registered as an insulated van on the V5. The chassis has been under sealed with Dinitrol 4941 and the refrigerated box has been sealed and painted. Weighing in at 2600kg this gives a huge 900kg payload for adventurers, essentials and their possessions.
Hand built from the scratch this off- grid adventure camper features a folding rear step with an external light above the fully sealed entrance door.
This van has an interior head height of 76” (6ft 4’). Upon entering your van on the right you have two benches (with extra storage underneath) with a folding table between.
To your left you have an Apicool under counter fridge with a freezer box built in, above this you have a beautiful solid oak worktop with a single induction hob inserted next to the white ceramic butler’s sink. You have two cupboards below this for storage. In the corner of the worktop is a pop up multi plug sockets which include usb ports.
Additional portable induction hobs and air fryer could be simply plugged in.
Above the fully opening windows (which also have fly screens and blackout blinds)are two shelves with storage baskets, the lighting is supplied by strip lights under the shelves.
Next to the hand made kitchen is a thermostatic shower with a full length shower curtain, the portable toilet also sits here. The roof vent has a blackout blind and a fly screen attached which is sited just outside the shower.
There is a fixed vent above the shower along with a large, clear roof light/vent in the ceiling above the walkway.
Opposite you will find a wardrobe with plenty of hanging space for all your outfits, with enough length for longer garments to hang freely, below is space for shoes and above there is space for folded clothes.
This back’s onto the 4ft fixed double bed with subtle lightning above the headboard. You will find extra storage under the bed as well as the electrics, inverter, water tank and diesel heater.
Outside on both sides are a Daken storage boxes for all your extra needs, eg; inflatable paddle boards, deck chairs, fire pit, the possibilities are endless. These are waterproof and the type commonly found under commercial vehicles.
There are solar panels on the roof which provides 400w of charging power for the 280ah leisure battery. Inside there is a 100l cold water storage tank under the bed, so it won’t freeze. A 2000w Renogy inverter will provide sufficient power for most 240v appliances. A 10l Propex hot water tank, which will operate off the mains or the inverter provides hot water to the thermostatic shower and kitchen tap. Renogy Dc-Dc charger with main battery trickle charge feature. 280AH lithium battery. 240 volt system with extra sockets. Smart charger to charge the lithium battery automatically when the van is connected to a 240v supply. Diesel air heater plumbed into main fuel tank. Shurflo water pump and accumulator for even water pressure. Apicool fridge. The lithium leisure battery can be charged when moving from the dc-dc charger, by the 400w solar panels all of the time and off the smart charger when connected to the mains via the fitted adapter.
To summarise your next camper van has all of the benefits of Mercedes reliability and longevity along with a super smooth automatic gearbox. Being it’s based on the Mwb platform it’s easier to park than the longer wheelbase vans which are 7m in length and trickier to park. I can’t stress how easy these vans are to drive, just select drive and the van will do the rest, leaving you to steer it. Visibility is excellent. parking is simple because it’s square and has the aid of a reversing camera.
The construction of the fridge box ensures maximum insulation properties and lovely straight, even walls giving plenty of space. There is also the added benefit that all of the electrics and plumbing are fully accessible, not hidden behind walls/floors/ceilings. This makes and future enhancements much easier. All of the fixtures and fittings are hand made.
With the camper weighing in at 2600kg you will have a massive payload of 900kg for yourself, passengers and all of your essentials. This is something worth considering as lots of vans have very little legal load capacity. Remember that an average person weighs about 80kg, then there’s the passenger, clothing, food, water, fuel, gas, bikes, roof racks and awnings. These all add up. This van has a gross weight limit of 3500kg had to include everything in or on the vehicle as it’s sitting on the weighing scales.
Registered vehicle type-Insulated van.
1 fixed 4ft double bed
