Small but beautifully formed. This is a rare opportunity to buy Finn, an established Quirky Camper with three years of rave reviews and excellent service – income generated from Finn in the last few years has been £20,321. Finn is featured in The Rolling Home’s ‘The Culture of Van Life’ book, and photos of Finn widely circulated via Pinterest.
Finn is a highly maintained 2011 Mercedes Vito 110CDi. Designed as a discreet conversion that makes overnight stops in cities as easy as wild camping.
The conversion is constructed from tongue & groove pine, cedar details and recycled Iroko science tables for higher impact areas: the unit top, basin surround and the stove hearth, giving the camper lots of character, warmth and practicality.
The internal design is flexible – the bed platform can be taken out in less than two minutes, but essentially Finn is designed to have the biggest ‘big space feel’ whilst in a small van, so that’s why all the storage is no higher than the bed – so when you wake up in the morning and put your coffee on the stove – you only see beautiful wood and the view through the side doors.
It’s rare to find a camper this size with a real stove –
The stove is a diesel fuelled Refleks 66MK fed from the main fuel tank and adjusted for clean diesel – this system costs over £1600 for the parts alone.
Avoids the need to take up space for sticks and logs and no visible fumes or sparks from the chimney.
– Uses 0.12lts per hour on a low setting and 0.3lts on high. I’ve never needed to use the high setting or even past half way, even at minus 12 outside. I’ve used the stove in Snowdonia in winter at minus temperatures, run the stove constantly on a low setting and never noticed a drop in fuel on the main tank. It is without doubt THE best thing I’ve ever fitted in a van.
– Takes the air from outside underneath the van and flues out of the top, so doesn’t take any air from within the van.
– Includes a storm baffle.
– Insurance friendly.
– The top plate is made from cast-iron – ideal for cooking and making coffee.
The whole stove weighs under 5 kg. So impacts little on the total pay load weight.
The electrical system is balanced to run from the 100W solar panel, designed for off grid camping. The leisure battery also charges from the engine when you’re travelling.
The conversion also includes a:
– Waeco CDF-11 Compressor Fridge/Freezer
– Portable gas cooker for outside or inside instant cooking.
– Custom made sail bags that fit under the bed platform.
– New Roof vent with air control.
New Thetford camping toilet.
New 100amp leisure battery, associated electrics, switch panel, 5 usb and 2 standard cigar lighter charge points. All rear lighting is low power warm LED.
A Vango awning that will fit both sides.
All bedding needed for immediate hire potential.
Cutlery, crockery, coffee maker, corkscrew etc… he’s completely ready to go!

RENTING FINN THROUGH Quirky Campers – he’s ready for work!
Finn is currently available for rental through Quirky Campers where both he and his owner have received rave reviews.

Since I listed him in July 2016, Finn has generated £20,321. Insurance and running costs are around £2200 per year.
Account history is available to view to serious interest on viewing Finn.

The seating platform in the back of Finn measures 4’x5’3” then extends out to 6’4”x5’3” to make a very generous bed using the slider support and the cushion insert… big enough for two adults plus a small one. Even with the bed extended this leaves space to get at the draws and to use the end of the bed as a seat to cook.
