Originally a panel van and converted into a very capable campervan. We used Dodo-Mat sound dampening and Dodo-Mat sound deadening on each and every internal panel then installed Diall damp proof insulation (made from recycled drinks bottles) on top of that. There are lots of things to mention here as we spec’d the van to be functional without the need for burning any fuels and so eliminate the worry of carbon monoxide gasses when cooking. The van was Converted with an ‘off-grid’ theme in mind and as such is completely electric in the rear. There are 2 x 200w Renogy solar panels mounted to the roof feeding a Renogy 40amp MPPT solar charge controller. This is linked to a L5080 Bosch 12V 230Ah Leisure Battery. 230v power comes from a 3000w Renogy pure sign wave inverter, which we used for cooking with an induction hob and an air fryer. The Fridge-freezer is a 12v Vitrifrigo C51i Airlock compressor type and is very quiet and excellent. It automatically switches between 12v and 230v when the hook up cable is plugged in. The hook up cable links into the Renogy inverter and automatically switches over when plugged in, meaning that the same 3 pin 230v sockets in the van are used if you are using either inverter power from the leisure batter or hook up power from the mains. Leisure Battery charge is monitored using a Renogy digital shunt/monitor. So you’ll know exactly how much power you have left in the battery and how long the battery will last under the currently applied load. The solar charging system also has a digital monitor screen installed so you know how they are performing. The lights, the water tap and the thermostatically controlled extractor fan are 12v and run straight from the battery. We used to heat the van using a small electric oil radiator which comfortably ran off the inverter. A reversing camera and screen are installed, (activated when the vehicle is put into reverse) and the screen is fitted in place of a rear view mirror. There is an aluminium Keder strip (figure of 8) rail mounted to the roof. We also have an Outdoor Revolution Cayman Air drive away awning that could be added to the sale, please ask for details. The layout can easily accommodate two full size mountain/road bikes, accessed from the rear doors underneath the main bed in the garage area.
