A cosy, discreet, simple conversion. In the bare van I removed any rust from the floor and repainted before installing sound deadening mat and thermal foil insulation.
4 way stretch carpet and ply lining varnished. 4mm ply to walls, 12mm to the floor.
T&G cladding to ceiling.
Cork on ply panels for the window infills.
Heavy thermal drape between cab & rear.
Black in cab side, bright design in rear.
I’ve been using a Bluetti powerbank for all my electrical needs, including phones, laptop, electric heater, electric throw, usb lighting and fan.
Recharged from the 12v socket while driving or plugged into a portable solar panel when parked.
Small USB rechargeable light in rear.
Wall storage shelves and cargo nets.
Good size parcel shelf over the cab.
Flip up table top.
Fixed bunk with brand new IKEA mattress 190 x 90 cm. Can be removed from the van in a few minutes if you want to use the van for other purpose or install alternative. Below the mattress are flexible IKEA slats making a really comfy bed. Most comfortable for 1 but possible for 2, we’ve tried it, it’s fine for a weekend or overnight.
