Vehicle Description

Unfortunately i have to re advertise due to the last buyers funds becoming unavailable.

Thinking of heading off in to Europe for the winter then Roma may well be the campervan that will do it in comfort, style and total reliability…

The base vehicle ., I have spent 3 years building and perfecting “Roma” our Iveco Daily into an amazing luxury campervan with absolutely everything introduced into build being brand new . I spent over a year looking for the right base van … Roma is an X Snap On tool truck and came to me as an empty van from the garage that serviced and maintained her every 12 weeks for the duration of her commercial life therefore mechanically this van is superb..PLEASE don’t be put off by the milage which technically is below is average.. she has the 3.0ltr Turbo diesel commercial engine built for very high mileage (1m plus).. I was told she is just run in and it tells. There is no smoke on start up and the engine oil still has a honey glow to it after 1200 miles .. I have replaced every sensor on the engine to be on the safe side and the clutch has been replaced out of precaution with a heavy duty unit and the 6 speed gear box stripped and checked for wear … Which is in great condition and needed nothing to doing to it..again just for piece of mind and reflects on Romas maintenance program. I would have absolutely no hesitation setting off to tour Europe in the morning…
I’ve installed new heavy duty rear springs and I’ve recently installed air suspension for a quality ride which really has made a massive improvement to the handling as well. The breaks have been serviced with new pads to the front.
The electrics …Roma has 12 and 240 volt systems a 2000watt inverter and new battery charger. I have installed a Renogy Battery to Battery 50amp change system which has a built in mppt which is fed by a 200watt Renogy solar panel both charging 300 amp hrs of lifePO4 lithium batteries (2 x 150amp) we have found this is more than adequate for all needs.. these batteries are now 18 months old and haven’t been used that much as we also have a solar generator.. (not part of the the sale )and in January this year I replaced the starter battery.
Water .. I have installed a Propex Malaga 15ltr water heater which we have found to be perfect for the shower and sink etc … All the plumbing is John guest 12mm red and blue …Under the van are 2 under slung tanks .. water 100ltr .. grey 80ltrs both with a monitor.
Gas … There is a professionally constructed steel gas safety locker in the rear of the van with a 17ltr gas bottle. .

Heating .. there is an eberspasher d3 feeding two outlets.. more can be added .
The build ., the habitation area is made from 20mm honey comb fiberglass wall panels with 25mm king span insulation and 9mm marine grade ply lined with 2.5mm 4 way stretch van liner and roof has 125m of insulation this make the van perfect for all seasons .
Air is vented through the Max air fan and there twin air conditioning units ran of the engine with a recent compressor.
The cab has twin hydraulic rise and fall seats and the passenger is on a swivel. There is a single belted seat the clips on to tracks and can be removed in less than 30 Seconds .. l also have a second single if required
The TV is a recent install and is the lastest smart TV and has a digital omnidirectional Ariel.. I tend to tether it to my phone to watch Netflix etc etc .. this a very expensive proper motorhome TV capable of withstanding the rigors of on and off road activities.. runs of 12v & 240v .
There is full king size fixed bed with a recent quality memory foam mattress… Best night sleep ever mmmzzz .
The bathroom has a shower and electric swivel toilet with a new un used cartridge for extended off grid periods. There is also a fold away vanity sink There is a heater out let for wet clothes with an extractor to vent moist air.
The fridge is brand new and was installed a in June this ,it’s an LG Alpicool . In March I installed a new 4mtr Fiamma awning .
As stated everything installed in Roma is new with every hand book in place so in reality the habitation is only 2.5 yrs old and it really shows.
I’m a retired engineer so the build of Roma has keep me entertained for a few years .. but I’m now looking to build another van and I can’t have two … So I’m told
Roma comes with lots and lots of extras to much to list so the lucky person who takes her on her next travels won’t need much other than food and toilet rolls
The cost of all the parts to build Roma exceeds £16.0k the base van cost £6.8k and I have put over 2000hrs into the build … But we have had some amazing holidays as Roma is so comfortable warm and wants for nothing … All the above makes Roma perfect for a long range full time live a board or those long extended holidays in to Europe.
A final note .. Roma is a big lady and classed as 6.5tonner … On the weigh bridge with full tanks she came in at 4.9tonnes so there is scope for more carrying capacity but you will require a C1 license…There’s lots of other details to many to list so if you would like to email me or call me I would be only to happy to talk it through.
We would like to find the right person /couple/family to take Roma on her next adventures as I am keen to start our new project, therefore we are open to offers but please be respectful … This is not a van that’s been chucked together in a few months, she’s been very carefully designed and hand crafted over a 2000hr period to ensure to ensure maximum enjoyment and comfort while touring.
On a final note Roma travels very quietly in comparison to a motorhome which are full of rattles and bangs she’s been glued and screwed together with quality materials… When you’ve seen her you will truly understand the difference. Thanks for looking
