Ashleigh is a year 2000 MWB Sprinter MOTOR CARAVAN (as can be seen on the V5) and has come to the end of her journey with us.

She has been a much loved member of our family and with our lovely Quirky Camper customers over the years.

This unassuming little van has taken us, our family, our friends, plus countless members of the Quirky Camper customer clientele all around the UK and Europe. She has had a wonderful time and a wonderful life with us.
She has taken us on long trips all over Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany a truly adventurous little van.
During the first lockdown she had a brief spell as a spare bedroom to a friend in need.
We even lived in her for a short time whilst our other live-in van was having a few modifications done.

Ashleigh has a basic but bullet proof interior that has faired better than the chassis and body work.
Boasting a sofa bed that doubles up into a very comfy double bed, a pull out dining table to eat at – either as a dining table or for breakfast in bed. Over the cab storage space for bedding and LED lights galore. Under the sofa bed, there’s space to stash outdoor camping furniture.
Sofa bed is made up of three pieces – all made from a memory foam mattress. These have made-to-made measure covers, with a spare set (plus matching cab curtain) available if desired.

A Fiamma 23 litre removable wheeled water tank (enormously handy at a festival when miles away from a water source) this is connected to a hand pump (again basic but bullet proof) that is more than enough to wash up dirty pots and pans after making a lushington meal.

The bijou kitchen area with a twin ring cooker and gas grill is supplied by a 30 litre underslung LPG gas bottle (filled up once a year). She has a cute bespoke spice rack, wipe clean mosaic tiled splash back and a very handy extension flap for parking your dirty washing up on. She has numerous cupboards for storing kitchen equipment, even a hidden one under the sink AND a secret drawer.

One of Dave’s Goblin wood burners from Glastonbury Burners takes care of the heating inside. She is warm and cosy with her burner kicking out plenty of heat, with lots of storage space for fire wood and kindling inside the van.

Two massive 12 volt lead acid batteries supply the dc electrical system which is charged with an old fashioned split relay. USB power points, LED ribbon and spot lights keep the interior bright and cosy looking without the need to worry about the batteries going flat on a dark winters night.

NOW THE BAD BITS…

She has some serious chassis rust underneath as well as her body work. PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

She has been welded many times for her MOT but now needs a very dedicated welder/fabricator to bring her back to anything road legal, let alone looking pretty. OR just strip the whole interior out and CATAPULT it into another old shape MWB Sprinter or VW LT.

She has also had some of her engine bay electrics eaten by mice so her engine won’t start but… when the engine did run, it was like all other Sprinters, Fast and Furious ! She needs somebody really dedicated, not only a wizard with a welding torch BUT also a dab hand at splicing wires together!

Everything else is golden!

She recently (about 500 miles ago) had a new dual mass fly wheel and clutch fitted.
Exhaust is in excellent condition.
Tyres still hold pressure.
Back doors are in excellent condition.
Most of the vehicle lights work.
