Ford Transit 2.0 Diesel – L3 H3
Ford transit 350 diesel with only 55,000 miles on the clock and MOT until July 2025. Full service with oil changed a year previously at 54,199 miles and only driven around 600 miles since that service. Some service history and one previous owner other than myself. Van in excellent condition and drives perfectly but a tiny dent right at the top / back of the van which doesnβt affect the doors and will be in the photographs.
We’re selling our much loved ford transit campervan as we’ve just had a baby and we won’t be getting much use out of it for a while.
If you want a really reliable van that’s ULEZ compliant, with a decent alarm system and low mileage this is the perfect van for you. It’s got a well made large comfy double bed, seating and kitchen area. Although the hook up and gas no longer works, it still has everything you need to pitch up and not move for a good few days – we found a camping stove was more than enough and with the 12v electrics (lights, max air fan, fridge, heater, cold water pump etc.) lasting 3-4 days with a simple charge by driving, that was enough for us. However, equally if you want a van to stay in longer term, it would only require a few things fixing up to make it perfect.
The van had a full service with oil change etc last year (2023) and has only driven a couple of hundred miles since as I was pregnant and unable to drive it around. Plus it just passed its MOT a couple of weeks ago so won’t need one until next July.

Things in the van that DON’T work:
– 2 ring gas hob with gas safe locker, drop vent and gas bottle (with gas still in)- this was previously was working but would need to be looked at by a professional as we wouldn’t feel comfortable selling it without knowing it was 100% safe.
– 240v hookup system with a 1500w pure sine wave inverter and fuse box. – this previously was working but the inverter is showing an error and the 240v plug sockets aren’t working. We never used the 240v system anyway as 12v was enough for everything we needed but would need a professional to resolve
One of the best selling points of the van – it has a large double bed suitable for someone 6’4 with professionally upholstered memory foam cushions. The bed area converts to an U shaped seating area with an option table and plenty of storage inside the seats.
It has a lovely kitchen area with plenty of cupboard and draw space to store all your camping gear. It comes with a Dometic CRE50 12 vault compressor fridge/freezer which is perfect for keeping things nice and cool in the summer. It has a gas safe locker with drop vent installed and a 2 ring hob, however, the gas is no longer working and would need someone to look at it. However, you could cover the gas hob over to make more surface space and simply bring a camping stove.
It has a fully working 12v system with switches that control the max air fan, fridge, lights, cold water pump for the sink and the deisel heater. The system charges as your drive and we found it lasted us a couple of days camping. Although the 240v system is installed, it stopped working randomly and to be honest we never found it was needed for our trips anyway as 12v was more than enough.
The van itself just passed its MOT and is around 55,000 miles. It’s such an amazing base vehicle and a lot of love has gone into the conversion – it will be sorely missed.
A long double bed which was intended for someone who was 6β4 so perfect for tall people with custom made memory foam cushions and sturdy waterproof covers. The bed can also be removed to make an L shaped seating area with the cushions rearranged to fit
