Vehicle Description

Available now. 4/5 berth with 4 belted seats (2 are Isofix). 85k miles. Well maintained and serviced with some history and receipts. Recent oil change. Good brakes and tyres. Reversing camera. Removable rear belted seats. Comes with everything you need to start your adventures. Sadly selling our self-converted fully insulated VW Crafter campervan, as we are moving country. We’ve had some great trips in this, including the NC500 in the Highlands and the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland and it’s never let us down. We’ve also hired it out the past couple of years through Quirky Campers and it has paid for itself through covering the cost of insurance and service. it’s even made us a little money on top.

Beds: It can sleep up to five people; two adults and a child in the main bed (nearly a super-king at 174cm wide x 180cm long) and two children/teens in the bunks (58cm wide x 174cm long). The main bed can be converted into two benches during the day with the bunks folding down to become the back rests.

Seats: It has two belted captain swivel seats in the front (pictures with five seats are from before we changed to captains chairs) and two further belted seats in the rear. All 4 seats have three point belts. All 3 passenger seats are suitable for a child car seat using the belt and the 2 rear seats have Isofix. The two front seats have swivel plates and can swivel around to make a 4 seater dining area. The large bed in the rear can be collapsed to form two sofas . This area sits 6 comfortably.

Kitchen: The van is fitted with two gas hobs (with underslung LPG tank), a generous worktop space and all the cooking utensils you’d need. There’s also a 12v refrigerator and all the plates, cups, bowls, pots/pans, kettle, and cutlery come with the van.

Electrics: It is completely off-grid with 400watts of solar and two 110A/h batteries, which power the 12v fridge, Maxxair fan, spot lights, strip lights, water pump, hob ignitor, reading lights, two USB sockets on the main switch panel, and one standard 12v socket under the bench seat. There are no mains (240v) sockets or mains hookups but it will easily charge your phones, tablets, and laptops. There is also a USB chargeable mosquito zapper lamp.

Water: There are two 25 litre removable water tanks under the sink that supply potable water via a pump. The grey water drains through the floor.

Heater: The van has a diesel heater to keep you nice and toasty on those chillier mornings and evenings. A remote is provided so you don’t even have to get out of bed until you’re warm enough.

Radio has bluetooth and works but the screen sometimes doesn’t work.

Has sliding bunk windows and a roof vent with sliding blind and mosquito net. Foldable/removable table.

Comes with a waterproof awning with two poles, a ‘composting’ toilet, a chemical toilet with chemicals, levelling ramps, cushions, plenty of storage under the sofas and overhead cabinets.

Conversion Description

This was a lock down project and has served our family of four very well over the past three years. We’ve had some amazing adventures in it including the NC500 of the Scottish Highlands for 10 days and more recently for a week on some of the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland. This is the second van I have converted and I used to be a builder so this conversion is done well. I did everything myself apart from covering the captains seats and the sofa/bed cushions, which I had done professionally. The walls, ceiling, and floor are insulated with foam board and recycled plastic bottle insulation and there is a vapour barrier throughout.
