I converted this last year so the conversion is only a year old, this is my second van I have converted and I built it to a high spec with everything needed for travelling comfortably off grid.

I bought this van 2 years ago and started the conversion, fully stripped out and cleaned, fully insulated with Kingspan and plastic recycled insulation and clad with 6mm ply in the garage area and reclaimed pallet wood that was ripped down to 8mm sanded and oiled to give it a lovely rustic feel. all cupbards, bench seat, drawers and doors are hand made with locking mechanisms so they stay closed when driving and gas lift on the top cupboards. The extendable worktop and around the sink is a rustic mango wood and only fitted the past month. The heating and hot water is a Truma 4e heater that heats the van and hot water quickly and is a year old. The thetford lightweight K1520 cooker is brilliant for all your cooking needs and much better than just having a 2 ring hob, that again is a year old. They both run off a refillable gas bottle that is plumbed in with 8mm copper pipe and was tested when installed. The massive solar and battery bank keep the vans electrical system capable of going off grid without the need for hook ups. I designed the van to all run on 12v so no 240v sockets but you could fit an inverter to the batteries if needed. They are 18 months old and are top of the range batteries Pegasus GBS 420, a Renogy battery moniter is fitted so you can easily check on the battery health, even in the winter they have never dropped more than 10% without being recharged fully by the solar the next morning. We have been all over the UK in this van and have had no problems at all wit it, a new radiator was fitted along with a new egr valve within the first few weeks of buying te van and brakes all round have been replaced. it has full service history with reciepts to back it up and I have had it serviced twice since I have owned it the last being the other week. This is a great van built to a highspec using top of the range equipment and parts its capable of going off grid all year. Mileage will increase slightly as I am still using it for trips away.
