Citreon Relay – L2H2 – 2007
Let me introduce Matilda, I have looked after her for around 3 years, brought from a furniture maker who did all the internal work himself. She is a Classic Citreon Relay Camper, she was born in 2007. She has enough headroom for most adults to stand up. The front two passenger seats swivel. Under the hood she has a 2.2 litre engine and she starts every time. Body work is reasonable for age. She has some rust on her underside, which has been repaired by a reliable local welder. Her next MOT is due in Jan 2026.
We’re reluctantly selling her due to our growing family. We appreciate it’s the end of the season, so we’ve priced her at the lower end and are hoping to get offers in excess of £9,500.
Matilda was painstakingly crafted by a retired furniture maker in Wales. He built all the units from scratch, they are finished with a walnut veneer, so she has a very warm and classic feel to her. She has a very efficient heater, fully sotcked kitchen, hot and cold running water, usb sockets and internal lights. She has a massive LPG tank underneath and solar panel on top. You could go away for several weeks and be self sufficient for power.
Main living space:
She has a two person sofa with underneath storage, which also houses the electics. The sofa cushions are custom upholstered and completely removable. There are two more storage cupboards above the sofa which lock while driving. The floor is carpetted and in good condition. There is a fold-away Fiamma table that stores in the wardrobe. A little bottle storage place to the side of the sofa. There’s both down lighting and wall lights. We have a toddler so we have added a curtain around the sofa area to provide an enclosed space for his cot at night. There is a gas powered hot air heater that has kept me toasty when it has been -3 outside!
Kitchen:
Three burner gas hob and grill, both powered from the main gas tank. There is a sink with water pump, both hot and cold. Both sink and stove have covers to create a decent sized kitchen unit. She has an inbuilt fridge that works off the solar or from hook up. There is storage above with an under counter light. There are four draws below with ample storage.
Bedroom/Toilet:
The bed is built in and sufficent for me at 185cm or 6′ 1″ tall, as well as my 5′ 7″ wife. The mattress is medium firm and extremely comfy. There are a couple of built in shelves/bookcases, plus two USB charging points around the bed. Under the bed there is a handy little pull out chemical toilet, which is reassuring to have! Above the bed is a roof vent.
The cab:
Double passenger swivel seats and a static drivers seat. All the facias are reasonable for age. Lots of storage pockets and drinks holders. We have covers for the window which we will include.
The garage:
This is has three storage spaces, with ample room for all your kit. The left side has some of the hook up electrics and the clean water tank. If you remove the toilet this opens up the middle section further and you can store longer items through the middle like surfboards. The right hand area has the water heater and a handy shelf for storage.
Power and other things:
She has a massive underslung LPG gas tank which you fill up from petrol stations, one fill is about £15 and last for weeks. The LPG powers the stove, grill, heater and hot water. We’ve been advised to disconnect the tank while driving for maximum safety, this is accessed underneath the van. She has two batteries that are about a year and a half old, which link to the solar panel. This has always given plenty of power for weekends away. There are two usb sockets in the bedroom and two more in the main area. She also has the ability to plug into a hook up, with a socket on the back passenger side, this powers several 3 pin plugs, both in the main area and one in the garage. These sockets will also work from the leisure battery but do consume a lot of power. She has a decent sized fresh water tank in the garage and the sink in the kitchen drains out of the bottom, and I also have a grey water tank which fits under the van which I will include.
She is a lovely van that we will be really sad to let go, but in reality with our family we won’t be using her for the winter so it makes sense to let someone else enjoy her. Please do ask questions and we are also happy to do viewings either in person or via video call.
Many thanks for looking
Peter
