LDV Convoy
Beautiful LDV convoy conversion with hand crafted wood burner, full wooden interior, solar panels, skylight and legendary Ford banana engine. MOT until end of October.
I’m so sad to be letting this beautiful van go, however am not able to keep her where I currently live. I bought her 5 years ago and have been the only owner since she was converted by the amazing Beyond the Van LDV van conversion specialists.
She has the sought after banana engine, which was the best engine that Ford ever made (I am constantly told it will last forever)
Latest work undergone to preserve this beauty:
Fully sealing the chassis and undergoing extensive welding so that she won’t rust;
Replaced all tyres;
New brake pads;
Engine oil change.
Air filter change.
Fuel filter change.
Heavy duty Bosch starter battery.
Battery isolator switch
She has some wear on the external bodywork which is why I will accept less than my asking price, so that you can cover this to be done if you want it resprayed. Sadly I have no parking at my house or anywhere near, and my work is taking me abroad which is why I need to sell her. This is a very reluctant sale – I would hold on to her if I could.
Due to being in Italy until the 3rd of Aug, please email me on laura0reeves@gmail.com or wattsapp on 07975963284 to arrange viewings in Glastonbury for the 3rd of Aug onwards.
The front seats are super comfortable swivel seats, which were brand new when I bought the van a few years ago. Ridiculously comfortable and nice! I use the passenger seat as a reclining armchair and swivel it back to face the beautiful wooden cabin on wheels in the back.
The living space is very well heated by the small wood burner which has a 3โ flue pipe and keeps you toasty in any weather.
Amazing sweeping curved timber ceiling and solid wooden flooring, wooden panels throughout. The standing height inside the living space is 6ft.
Beneath the bed is a mass of storage. Currently used as a little zen living room behind the kitchen.
The van was sprayed Nato Green by BeyondTheVan and itโs a very professional job including all door innards, etc. Now, due to a poor parking situation Poppy has some dents and scratches so you may want to respray her.
This off-grid home on wheels is fully EMF shielded, when inside the van you are protected from external radiation sources such as mobile phone masts including 5G. As such, there is a faraday cage inside the walls of the van. Youโre also protected from external WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. sources. An estimated 80% reduction. Designed and built for an Electro-sensitive person. A damn good night sleep for everyone else!
Kitchen and cupboards built by professional carpenter in Cornwall a year after I bought her. Lots of storage space and room for a gas bottle for the beautiful blue stove.
Solar panels and leisure battery also professionally fitted, with USB ports.
King sized bed at the top of the van (you’ll see in pictures) suitable for 2 people. There is space downstairs for a second single person to sleep (tried & tested!) NB there isn’t much headroom over the bed – as the idea was to create as much space in the main space as possible. So if you are chlostrophobic this may not be for you. For me, I have had no issues with sleeping in the bed and find it cosy. I also got a sunlight installed to give more space, which you can open up above your head in the bed. It’s beautiful for star gazing.
