In March 2024 we had over Β£3000 work done on the van by an official Mercedes workshop in Ashford Kent after a vehicle health check to make sure it was tip top condition before a European adventure.
Paperwork of this available to see works completed.
It has just had its MOT and passed. ( MARCH 25) A few advisories were logged, which we are happy to get done for a potential buyer beforehand or a discount could be discussed if a purchaser would like to get these done themselves.
The van will come with a full service on purchase.
*There is one dashboard advisory light on annoyingly which is due to one of the right rear brake lights not working as unfortunately we believe it to have been pinched or damaged in the build.. this is not a problem as there are two more each side and Mercedes have matched the other side and is not an MoT issue etc *
For 2 years we have lived and travelled full time in our beautiful van, so we decided to increase the payload of the van from the standard 3500KG to 4080KG to accommodate the extra belongings we wanted to have every day. This does mean that currently the van would need someone who holds a c1 licence to drive it. We had the up plating carried out by a professional company and heavy duty springs fitted etc to comply.
There are two options for potential buyers.
First, you have a C1 licence already so no problem and welcome the extra weight allowance. Or gaining the licence is an option to you. ( my husband did this easily with a local company and passed first time)
the van can easily be down-plated again to the standard 3500KG which is a straightforward task. The vehicles unladen weight with the new heavy duty springs is 3340kg
We are happy to try and help with this or guide and please, if you love this van and donβt have the relevant C1 licence then donβt let this put you off. Itβs an easy and inexpensive switch.
We had this van converted for us by a wonderful team at Wandering wheels based in the south east.
Our aim was to live and travel full time in this van for a couple of years and attention to detail was paramount.
Our son was 1.5 years when we moved into our beautiful van, the bed set up that was commissioned has worked so well for us meaning there is no packing away and it was always there for his naps and the baby gate and blinds meant disturbing him was never a problem when sleeping.
We lived and travelled in our van for nearly two years, including UK winters which were so cosy due to the diesel heater and great insulation..
We have loved and looked after this van so well and we hope another family or person can enjoy it as much as we have.
We could not have been happier with this build. It far surpassed all our needs as a family
