Thanks for viewing my conversion! I began to convert this van with the intention of using it myself, but due to losing my job during lockdown, I’m have unfortunately having to sell, but I’m sure this beautiful conversion will make someone extremely happy and of course supply them with endless adventures! It has been a labour of love and I’ve spent loads of time making sure this conversion is cosy, comfortable and practical.

The overall weight of the conversion is 2900kg (without any people) but with full a tank of fuel, full inside LPG tank and full water tanks. Leaving plenty of extra weight for any upgrades you might want to add in the future, as well as all luggage and supplies you will need for trips.

The conversion is fully insulated with a combination of Kingspan and Recycled Bottle Wall Foam. Then beautifully cladded with Pine tongue and groove, which has been hand painted in white. This gives a clean and fresh look along side the Oak stained roof.

Bedroom Area:

The bedroom area is open and spacious, with a 6 inch foam mattress. The bed size is actually Kingsize in Width! (150cm) and is 6ft 1 (185cm) in length. You could easily fit 3 people on this bed (if you didn’t mind sharing). I bought the mattress quite firm as that is what I personally prefer, but if this is not to your liking, it would be easy to switch or a mattress topper could easily be added.

There is 3 overhead storage units in the bedroom area, which means all essentials and clothes can be easily stored. As well as plenty of room to add a big TV underneath! There is also a Dometic Heki Skylight which brings natural light and can be easily opened to bring in fresh air. This has both an insect mesh and a black out blind built in. This area is also built with 2 touch LED lights, which can be turned off by a switch close by, as well as LED light strips and switches to the main lights.

Seating Area and table area:

There is a beautiful pull out Oak table, which tucks neatly under the bed when not in use. This is surrounded by 2 seats, with upholstered seat cushions, that all have removable covers. These single seats also pull out to make a smaller single bed, which is the perfect size for any small adult or child. The other cushions which make up this single bed are stored neatly in the garage area which located under the bed.

One seat also houses a Thetford Porta Potti 335 Qube toilet, which is located in a pull out drawer and the other gives access to the diesel heater and CTEK Charger. (see pictures).

Kitchen Area:

I really enjoy cooking so I wanted to make a practical and open kitchen area which would make it easy to prepare and cook. The kitchen is all hand-built using birch ply, which gives a beautiful clean look. The outside of these cupboards are all hand painted and have beautiful hand made Oak handles, that match the solid Oak kitchen worktop. There is plenty of storage, including 3 overhead storage cupboards, 2 kitchen cupboards as well a utensil draw.

The kitchen has a 41 litre Webasto top loading fridge/freezer, which fits in the corner and was the perfect way to use that awkward corner space. This runs fully off the 12v electrics and also has a freezer option! So its extremely to keep everything cool on those hot days.

There is a sleek stainless steel sink with a Flexi tap, can easily be directed outside and any other directions. The cupboard below houses the 25 litre fresh water and waste water tanks. Which gives super easy access, especially being so close to the sliding door. It also houses the Shurflo 12 v pump which gives a very steady water flow.

On the other side of the kitchen is the Thetford 2 Hob Burner, which has a sleek black finish, it’s also really easy to clean! This runs off a LPG Gas bottle that is located directly below. And is housed in its own Gas safe box. This gives you easy access to turning the gas on and off whenever you need.

This LPG Gas bottle is also linked to a Propex HS2000 Diesel heater, which heats the place up extremely fast, and you can easily decide on what temperature you’d like.

Electrics:

This conversion runs off a ‘Maintenance Free’ 110AH Leoch Xtreme AGM Leisure battery. This, alongside all the electrics in housed away in a tidy little compartment at the back of the garage area. This can be accessed from both the garage and the main living area.

There is a 130Watt Solar Panel for charging your Leisure battery when Off-grid and a CTEK Battery to Battery Charger and Solar Charger. There is also a Victron Blue Smart IP65 Battery Charger which works by charging your leisure battery when you’re plugged into the main hook up. This allows you to monitor the charge and health of your leisure battery.

There is a mains 240v hook up point for when you’re stationary, which allows you to use 2x 240volt plug sockets (one of these is predominately used for the battery charger but you could easily add any extensions for extra sockets). An extra long hook up lead will be provided with the conversion.

The conversion is fitted with a set of LED spot and strips lights, as well as some fancy touch LED lights in the Bedroom area.

There is a Fiamma 12v Turbo-vent premium extractor Fan with touch controls, that allows you too vent and air the van out whenever necessary.

Garage Area:

There is plenty of storage space located under the bed. This can be accessed from the main living area or from the back doors. This is a perfect space for all luggage, any additional supplies and would be a great space to house any pet crates for your trips. There is also plenty of room for any additional upgrades you may want to add to this conversion in the future.
