Meet Our Beloved VW LT35 2.8 Off-Grid Campervan.
Open to sensible offers!
Lovingly built by myself for adventures with my wife and daughter, this van has been our home on wheels — warm, reliable, and completely self-sufficient. With a growing family (second child) and a move to sweden where we have been driving back and forth for the last couple of years with no problems we sadly need more seats, so its a sad choice for us to sell but this beauty is ready for its next chapter.
Refurbished to a very high standard, almost everything inside was newly fitted recently or last year. No expense has been spared when it comes to maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. The van has been fully serviced, meticulously cared for, and everything that needed replacing has been done. It runs beautifully and has passed its MOT in October with only one advisory and only done around 5000 miles since, there are mud and snow tyres allround with plenty of tred.
Powered by VW’s famously reliable 2.8L engine — known for its strength, simplicity, and long lifespan, it a cog-driven engine so no need for timing belt replacement — it’s a van that’s built to go the distance, im the second owner and it was stored inside until i bought it seven years ago, there’s never been a problem and it was undersealed from new, I had a new cluch and flywheel put in when I bought it and loads of other things replaced over the years.
No expense was spared when it came to maintenance and upkeep of this classic VW. It’s been fully serviced, everything that needed replacing has been done, including oil, oil filter diesel filter thermostat last year and coolant, new brake discs on the back and one new caliper and new bosh pads all round, spent £300 on replacing brake lines for the mot last year, new suspension including front spring, intercooler and steering column it recently passed its MOT and drives really nice, like a new van, dont be afraid of the mileage, these engines do 500,000 miles plus, so shes only warn inn 😉 please bring a mechanic if you want to inspect.
Fully off-grid with 400W of German Ecoteck solar panels, Victron MPPT controller (Bluetooth), and a 140Ah gel battery. A Victron 250W pure sine wave inverter handles all your essentials, and the system is professionally wired for easy future upgrades.
Stay cosy year-round with a Windy Smithy wood-burning stove, we have stayed in very cold conditions in Norway and Sweden during ski seasons with no problems, freshen up in the newly installed shower with gas water heater. The bespoke compost toilet is brand new and unused. The spacious kitchen features loads of storage, a large worktop, and a 50L water tank with foot pump for maximum efficiency, theres a 70L gray water tank underneath the vehicle.
