Fiat Ducato L3H2
After renting out our van on Quirky (called Leif) for the last year or so we are sadly selling to fund buying and renovating our first family home.
The van:
– Fiat Ducato
– 2013
– Blue
– EURO5 Diesel
– 2.3 litre 35 Multijet (amazingly ‘nippy’ for a big van!)
– 180,000 miles – since buying the can five years ago it’s been very thoroughly maintained (new gearbox, clutch, tyres, timing belt, bodywork, etc) so in good condition for its age. It has full service and maintenance history for all work done since purchase.
– Four belted seats; rear seats have ISOFIX fittings for child seats
– MOT until Dec 2023
The conversion was done to a very high standard and completed in 2020. It has four vehicle standard belted seats so the van works really well as a multi-purpose family and day van. For sleeping the van is a 4-berth campervan (2 adults, 2 kids) designed with practicality, flexibility, and comfort in mind. During the day, Leif provides a really large seating area at the rear of the camper, with additional swivel seating at the front. At night, the back seats convert into a double bed, and the cab area converts into bunk beds that kids absolutely love. When they’ve gone to bed, you can close the curtains and relax in the rest of the spacious main living area.
For colder months the van has been well insulated with high performance insulation under the floor and recycled wool insulation behind the wall panels (not just sheets of foil). This combined with the integrated heater makes it usable all year round. We’ve done a few family trips where the heater has been invaluable!
The van has been thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage underneath the seats for bedding, as well as above the cab and in the overhead lockers. One of the best things about this gorgeous campervan is that is has a solar panel on the roof, which charges all the electrics in the van. This means that if you want to have a more rugged, off-grid adventure you certainly can do!
Equipment:
– Integrated gas hob
– Integrated gas heater
– Dining Table
– 12v Refrigerator
– Kitchen sink with pumped water
– Bike Rack
– Ceiling Fan
– Solar
– 2x100ah batteries
– Two kids bunks for cab area
Condition:
Two years of rentals has tested out this conversion and it has been shown to be really robust and is in really good condition with only minor natural signs of use. The base van had seen a lot of action before we got it but we’ve given it lots of love including a partial respray so it’s now in great condition for its age. On the mechanical side we’ve invested a lot to make it a solid reliable vehicle and have receipts for all this work – it flew through its last MOT.
Available immediately.
The seating area at the rear of the van converts into a wider-than-standard double bed (184x139cm). The cab area converts into two bunk beds suitable for children up to the age of 14.
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would approve this van for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
