Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Iveco Daily Mk 2 year 2000 ex royal mail truck. Fully mechanical no electrics to go wrong. 2.8 turbo diesel with inter cooler. Truck starts first time every time and never let me down. I drove thr truck from Uk to Algarve through France, Spain and Portugal and back upto Northern Portugal and she never skipped a beat ! This is a 6.5 ton truck so you will need a grandad licence or take your 7.5 ton test to drive it . It is a lot easier to drive and gives better fuel economy then a 7.5 ton Horsebox.

Conversion Description

A unique oppurtunity to buy a truly stunning one off no expense spared Wooden tiny Home on wheels. I built this truck over a 2 year period to be my Offgrid home in Portugal but I am unable to matriculate it into Portugal so am putting her up for sale. I drove the House truck all the way from Uk through France and Spain and over the pyranees into Portugal at the end of last …. it never skipped a beat and always starts first time.

The truck is still in Portugal but will drive it back to the Uk once I have some viewings lined up. I am happy to do a live video call to show the truck and my Instagram link has lots of detailed photos and some videos.

I am a professional builder with almost 40 years experience and built the tiny home over a two year period. The build was carried out by a team of highly experienced builders and took almost 2000 man hours to complete. Everything was over engineered and many things were done more than once to achieve the level of artistry and perfection in the space.

Below are some brief details and specs and feel free to message or call with any further questions.

The build is based on a 6.5 ton Iveco Daily Mk2 chassis. It is fully mechanical so no electronics to go wrong. It has a 2.8 litre turbo diesel with about 120k miles. You would need hgv or Grandad rights to drive this. That said I would not recommend this as a regular camper van. It would be best suited to someone who wants and offgrid tiny home or Home office and is about the same size as a Shepherds hut. It is approximately 6.5 meters long and has a high ceiling inside 2.4 meters (8ft). The loft bedroom is very spacious with an amethyst pink stained glass roof light that opens with high end brass winder.

The wooden box was built from scratch onto the flatbed using Sapele hardwood and will age beautifully into a faded siver grey. The inside wood is a combination of Larch and Cedar from a local saw mill in Sussex. All the joinery was also built using Sapele including 4ft wide french doors, Stable doors, 2 huge sky lights. All fittings and latches are high quality unlaquered brass or hand forged black iron.

The GRP flat roof is over engineered and built to the same standards as a flat roof on a house and should be good for another 30 years and has been 100 per cent water tight through 2 winters.

All the internal wood has been finished with Woca driftwood lye, followed by white Oil and Swedish Soap. It was both expensive and labour intensive but so worth it !

The complete build has been over engineered to last while at the same time being as natural and holistic as possible. Sheeps wool insulation was used throughout….!00mm in the ceiling and 75mm in the walls. This regulated humidity and have had very little condensation and zero mould in the space. All electrics and solar are at the kitchen end of the truck so no harmful EMFs under the sofa or Bed.

I spent a lot of time researching lighting and have used lovely amber anti blue light dimmable bulbs …again expensive but worth it ! All light fittings were from Pooky lighting in London and the beautiful hand punched brass shades are from Marrakesh. It really is a warm magical space at night.

The wood burning stove was imported from a maker in New Zealand and the install was carried out by a Hetas Enginner using high quality twinwal flue. The flue system and stove were custom painted.

The kitchen, wardrobes and sofa were all built by the joiner from 18mm birch ply and there is lots of clever storage. All doors are are sliding so as not to open into the space.

The hot water system is a Bobil hybrid system which works from solar, mains hookup and through a heat exchanger from the Autoterm Diesel heater.

Ot has an EcoFlow Delta 2 and 400 watt solar panel on the roof taking care of all the 240v USB combi sockets while all 12 volt is supplied from a separate Victron mini system.

The gas Hob is a Smeg Victoria Hob sand blasted and custom sprayed to match the stove. I also stripped and sprayed all the electrical sockets .

This is a tiny home on wheels and not a camper. You would need to have a Grandad license to drive this or take your hgv test as it is a 6.5 ton truck. It would be best sighted on land with a deck and awning built around it. The space is very flexible and could easilly be addapted to a home office.

I spent almost £40,000 on this build and easily 2000 skilled proffessional Man hours. I built this for me to live in full time so absolutely no expense or time spared and truly was a labour of love. Every single fixture. fitting and finish is high end for example the wood burning stove installation was over 2k ! The brass engraved kitchen tap imported from Morocco was £250. The custom Smeg Victoria hob was over £400….I could go on but feels a bit tacky to start itemising how much everything cost !

Here is a link to my Instagram with lots of high res pics and some videos. If you are serious then please register your interest and I will let you know when I am driving the house truck back to the UK for viewings or if you are really serious I am happy to pick you up from Porto Airport.
