Ford Transit 350D Heavy Duty, LWB Hi Top
2.4l Diesel RWD (very powerful) I have driven all around Cornwall in this and it had no problems on the hills even when full. Approx 30mpg.
Reg GL58 AXG
Ex-Hampshire County Council vehicle, comes with full-service history
75k genuine miles (can see on the service history), as youโll probably know from research, one of these that is well looked after can last well over 200k and so when youโre buying this, it could be holidays for the next 10 years!
Since I bought it last Feb, it has had a new clutch/pedal/slave, fuel metering valve and OS front ball joint. I have invoices for all of these. Near ยฃ2k of work including servicing/mot in the last year.
I have replaced both the auxiliary and the starter battery within the last 6 months too (approx ยฃ150). I have proof of purchase of these too.
She starts and drives exceptionally well, as you’d imagine for a well looked after vehicle
I have personally undersealed the chassis and the sills to ensure longevity of the vehicle and Iโd encourage you to inspect underneath, as it is in very good condition.
I would recommend you do a MOT history check. It has an excellent history and had no advisories last time. It failed on a loose ball socket joint which was replaced immediately. Other than that no concerns were raised. MOT due in July.
I would be happy for you to bring an AA/RAC inspector down for the viewing if you’d find it reassuring.
The bodywork is in very good condition overall with a few small nicks in the rear doors. But no exposed metal/vulnerability for rust.
I have tried to use natural materials throughout with the use of hessian, timber and natural cork on the floor.
Telescopic table leg that drops down to become double bed.
Loads of storage. Above cab there’s a massive cupboard, under benches there’s space and overhead too
I have built a viewing deck on the roof! Which is really cool and loads of fun. I have a telescopic ladder which I use but it cost ยฃ70 so I might chuck it in with the van depending on the price.
ELECTRICAL
2x 120ah sealed lead acid batteries (6 months old and have 4 year guarantee)
5x 12v LED lights controlled by dimmer
Fiamma Turbo vent in ceiling
2x 12v double USB charging points
1500w Krieger inverter leading to 1x 230v socket
295w solar and 30A Epever Charge Controller
12v Waeco Dometic Coolmatic CRX-40 (fantastic top of the range compressor fridge, these retail for ยฃ500-ยฃ600)
Voltage sensing relay to charge the batteries from the alternator if needed, really helpful on those low light days in UK winter.
PLUMBING AND GAS
I have 20l GasIt lpg tank underslung the van and a 37mbar regulator (total kit worth over ยฃ500).
I have two appliances that run on lpg
1. Refurbished Carver Cascade 9l water heater
2. Domino LPG two ring hob
Both these appliances are in the same kitchen cupboard and have two floor vents providing appropriate circulation for the hob but also a fail safe.
Supplying the Carver Cascade water heater is a 20l water tank with 20psi 12v Shurflo pump and accumulator vessel
This feeds the shower with mixer tap. The shower has been fully waterproofed and has a shelf where you can store your toiletries.
On the sink side, for cooking and drinking water I have a 25l water tank controller by a 12v tap and whale submersible pump.
Underneath I have an underslung 50l waste-water tank with tap connected to both the shower and sink waste
If you have any questions just go ahead and ask! Viewings available in South London and possibly in Reading (would need more notice and a bit more planning)
P.S. Van does not come with free mum
Lovely comfortable bench seats convert into double bed. The telescopic table drops down and creates a bed that is 5ft wide and 5โ9 length.
I am 6ft 2 (1.87m) and I have slept in here with my partner very comfortably, it is wide enough that I can stretch out a little diagonally, with plenty of space left for her.
Having a sideways bed has allowed space for a permanent hot shower, which is really worth it in my eyes!
