Beautifully Refurbished Classic 1990 High Top Camper
We bought this 4 berth camper just over a year ago from Old Town Restorations (Birmingham) to be our festival and UK camping companion during lockdown and she’s fulfilled the role perfectly.
Comfortably sleeps two adults, 2 children (and two dogs!) in the VW approved fibre-glass high top and recently reupholstered rock and roll bed. During the day, the front passenger seat swivels around to create a seating area (with 2 collapsible coffee/ card game tables). There is a surprising amount of storage space inside of the van and we also attach a Cairns Low awning to the side for additional room – we are happy to include the awning with the van on selling.
She runs extremely well and is incredibly comfy to relax and sleep in ! The only two issues I would draw attention to are: (1) the radio requires attention as we have difficulty getting a signal; (2) the mileage reader had stopped working when we bought her so 200,000 miles is as accurate an estimate as possible, based on the history and condition of the vehicle.

2 gas ring and grill, sink with 54 litre cold water tank with access through external filler cap. Draining board connected to external drain outlet. 3 way fridge freezer running on gas or main hook up. Propex gas heating. Rock and roll bed with fitted three point seat belts. Passenger side captains seat with front table and table on rear for bench seat. Slide out cutlery drawer. Overhead cupboard with wine bottle and glass storage. Large storage cupboard next to the fridge. Large overhead cupboard above front seats and additional overhead storage cupboard above bench seat. One large cupboard accessed through boot used as a wardrobe or for bedding.
One double rock and roll bed which sleeps two adults comfortably (width 1.15m/ 1.9m; length ) and one high top sleeper which sleeps two children (ours are aged 10 and 15 and sleep in this comfortably although the 15 yr old complains that there isn’t quite enough leg room for him so I would say that this is the maximum age). This slides back for more headroom when not in use.
