Built in the highlands of Scotland with seasonal changes in mind. The van has been heavily insulated with both sheep wool and Knauf Earthwool, which is mould, damp and fire resistant, housed in a twin sided water-proofed membrane. We aimed to create a van that would be suitable for year-round activities, so we weren’t too restricted by the British weather!
The layout of our van consists of a central kitchen/living area which leads to a fixed double bed at the back. Full sized kitchen countertops and units with a large sink and running water via a microswitch tap, which runs off a 25L fresh water tank and a 10L waste tank. There is a standard two-burner gas stove that runs off camping gas bottles, and a compact fridge for all your essentials sits in the central compartment. For storage, three drawers are built into the face of the bed, one of which is set within the step. At the front there is a two person bench with space for shoes and boots underneath. Above the cab, is further, fabric lined storage area which we have found useful for clothing and sheets.
The bed is faced with partitions with inset shelving coves and pockets. Above the bed is an additional shelf that houses two 2.1amp fast-charging USB sockets. Remote controlled LED strip lighting lines the perimeter of the roof. There is a brand new, standard double width memory foam mattress included with the van. Being a high roof top, there’s plenty of room to stand up, and sit up comfortably in bed (about 6ft of headroom).
The van comes equipped with a Supertrucks roof-rack that can mount almost anything from skis to canoes. Under the bed there is rubber coin matting which can be used as a huge waterproof storage area for all your winter and summer gear.
