VW T3/25
We are very reluctantly selling our much loved 1987 VW T3/25 ‘Betsy’.
She has been our family camper for 6 years, but we’ve accepted that we need something bigger to help carry stock to festivals we volunteer at with a charity each summer. She has taken us all over the UK and has provided some amazing memories.
Betsy is a real head turner, with very unique alloys and grill, she constantly receives attention from admirers everywhere we go! 🙂
She is a 4/5 berth with a double rock and roll bed, space for 1 adult/2 children in the pop top (mattress included) and hammock over the front seats (also included). Our 7 year old son has been sleeping in the front hammock since he was 18 months old!
She has had complete refit inside, fully insulated with sheep’s wool and Kirivans carpet lining. Custom units provided by Star Campers in Dudley, providing plenty of storage and space for a 12v cool box. New leisure battery and sink/hob unit. Hand made blackout blinds. She is water cooled with a 1.6TD engine. She had a full MOT (June 26) and has been well maintained with a full service every year by a trusted local garage.
We invested lots of money when we bought her replacing the turbo, exhaust manifold, bearings etc but she has been incredibly reliable and starts first time, every time. Body work is solid, with a few age related bits and pieces that aren’t structural. Recent MOTs have received no or minor advisories.
She comes with a Fiamma Bike rack which holds 3 bikes and a beautiful Glawning 4m drive away bell tent awning including floor matting and log burner (We would be open to splitting the sale of the awning).
