**Open to sensible offers**
Betty started off life as a Vaillant boiler service van. She’s a quite unique and wonderful turquoise/green colour that you only find on Vaillant vehicles. We bought her from Valliant in January 2020 and did a bespoke conversion ourselves.
She’s got a perfect MOT record, with no minors or major. She is fully MOT’d for 12 months, fully serviced with an oil change, and comes with two brand new front tyres.
She’s never been in an accident. There’s a few tiny pings in her paintwork, but otherwise her bodywork is perfect.
Betty has a short wheel base (SWB) so she’s much shorter than other campervan conversions. Because of this she’s super easy to park and drive, and fits in small spaces. She also has a ‘high top’ roof – the head height inside is about 5’11” (180cm) so most people can stand up inside no problem.
We’ve taken Betty all around Devon, Cornwall, South Wales, and the highlands of Scotland. She’s been brilliant and given us no trouble, and we’re sad to let her go. The reason for sale is we’re moving house – we need the money!
1995cc Diesel engine
6 gears
Bodywork in excellent condition.
She’s fitted with two 100w solar panels, a lithium leisure/house battery, a fridge, internal lights, and 12 volt plug sockets.
She also has a 240 volt inverter for charging laptops.
The lithium leisure battery is charged by both the solar panels in fair weather, and from the engine/alternator when she’s on the road.
We installed the electrics with help from a professional electrician, and all the components are from Renogy.
We installed a cute foot-powered water system for drinking water and washing pots. She comes with two 25 litre water canteens.
She doesn’t have a permanent sink, so there’s no waste water collection to worry about (which we prefer as you don’t have to clean a dirty water system).
She also also comes with a portable cast iron hob and a butane Campingaz gas canister for cooking. We didn’t install a hob in the countertop to save on space, but we cook inside the van no problem.
She’s full insulated with sheep’s wool (don’t worry it’s not smelly). The wooden and carpeted interior is totally bespoke, one of a kind. There’s nothing out there quite like her!
Betty’s bed is fully collapsible, so you can sit on the seats in the back during the day, and enjoy a double bed at night. The bed slats fit into the roof shelving during the day.
The bed is made from four memory foam mattress sections that fit together to make a bed that is 1.75m x 1.35m. She comfortably fits two adult sleepers.
