We’ve just wrapped out our latest build and have a slot available, the van will be ready just in time for the end of the school holidays. So those of you who are travelling as just a couple can make the most of the good weather and off peak crowds.
We hunt up and down the length of the country to source the best base vehicles for our conversions, I have 20+ years in the motor trade as a mechanic so we always source the best vans to suit our customers budgets.
We generally look for vans 2018-2025 with 30k-70k miles on the clock and good service history. We always have an independent vehicle inspection done before purchase and the van will have a fresh 12month mot and service done before going to its new home.
We like to find the high spec ‘professional’ trim so they come with air conditioning, cruise control, reverse sensors and sat nav. Additionally we will fit a reverse camera for added peace of mind and if its something you would like, we can even upgrade the stereo to an Apple car play/ android auto head unit.
To give the van some additional ruggedness it can be fitted with alloy wheels in from Rogue alloys fitted with all terrain tyres, we’re happy to let you pick which ever wheels take your fancy from Rogue’s extensive selection.
We’re setting out with a simple brief on this van, high quality parts with a simple design. Keeping everything well built but not over complicated as we have found this to be the best formula for a van that last years and years with no issues.
We can build the van to what ever specification you would like, out L3 vans range form £30,000 to £40,000 depending on your requirements. We have a full itemised spec sheet that you can have a play around with adding or taking away those things you’d like or don’t need to adjust the price according to what you’d like to spend.
As you can see from this layout, the van feels lovely and open with plenty of space so you don’t feel cramped, plenty of overhead storage and huge under seat storage for all your day to items with a large open garage area for any outdoor gear you want to carry.
There will be a full height unit with a massive 90L compressor fridge built into it, having twice the capacity of most standard camper fridges like the crx50 means you’ll never be short of fridge/freezer space.
Plumbing wise there will be 95l fresh tank and a 67l waste tank connected to a bobil vans hybrid hot water heater supplying hotwater to the kitchen sink and to the shower point at the rear of of the vehicle. We avoid fitting showers into L3 and below vans as they take up such a huge amount of room in the living space. the external shower is combined with a pop up shower tent so you can shower and dress in full privacy.
Registering the van as a motor caravan with the DVLA means that we need to add graphics to the outside, we’ve chosen a simple topographic design to reflect the rugged look we’re going for, we have a mock up rendered image of how the graphics will look in the photo gallery. The electrical system is going to be built around a Bluetti Apex 300 unit packing 230ah of lithium battery and a 3840w inverter into a compact package. This combined with Bluetti’s 500w rapid dc-dc charger and 700w of solar on the roof will keep you off grid powering anything you might want to use on your adventures.

A true full size fixed double to the rear measuring 190cmx35cm we only use quality 15cm deep memory foam mattresses.
The seating area also converts to a good sized double measuring 180cm x 120cm so you can comfortably sleep 4 adults in comfort if you ever need to.
