Billy is a cosy home away from home, perfect for weekend breaks and extended trips away.

His carefully planned layout offers a warm kitchen area complete with two ring hob burners, an integrated sink and running water. Both sink and hob can be hidden beneath heatproof split glass lids, which fold down to provide ample work surface – and a chance to hide any washing up! The Dometic CRX50 12v Fridge Freezer, built into the panel between Billy’s two seats, holds a surprising amount and can function as a fridge, freezer or combination fridge-freezer. One seat provides access to Billy’s Varta LFD230 230ah Leisure Battery, while the other comfortably stores a Thetford Porta Potti 355.

There is plenty of storage built into Billy’s design; accommodating clothing, bathroom essentials, food storage, kitchen utensils, cookware and cleaning equipment, as well as a Campingaz 907 gas cylinder linked to the hob, clean and waste water tanks beneath the sink and a 20 litre rubbish bin with hinge lid. The overhead cupboards above the kitchen work-surface also feature additional LED spotlights to make cooking an easy task whatever the time of day.

When turning in for the night, a custom made curtain separates the living space from the cab for privacy – whilst also purposely allowing cab access at any time without needing to open/unlock any exterior doors. (Reassuring for any solo drivers, but also perfect for wet weather!) Billy also has two bespoke window covers, handmade for the rear windows and fixed with suction cups. The fixed, raised bed has a full size double foam mattress custom fit to Billy’s curved edges. The bed comfortably sleeps two people and can easily accommodate someone 6ft tall. The warm cladded ceiling and carpeted walls provide a cosy space to retreat to at the end of a day of adventures – whether on the beach, in the hills, or up high in the mountains.

Under the fixed bed and accessed from the rear doors is ample storage space for body boards, spare clothes, containers, first aid kits, wetsuits and more. Handy hooks provide extra space for bulky jumpers and coats, while all electrics are situated on the right of the storage area for easy access. Billy was fully insulated and sound-cladded at the start of his conversion, and any scratches on the interior were treated to prevent rust. We have never had any issue with being too hot or cold when staying in Billy, but there is ample space beneath the bed to also add a heater to him in the future if you wished to.

Billy is truly a wonderful camper and we would love to see him adopted into a new family that will help him continue his adventures at home and abroad.

– Electrics: Billy has a 12v electrical system which runs off his 230ah Leisure Battery. This is charged from both a DC to DC charger and 300w Solar Charger (which can be tracked through a mobile app), meaning that he always has ample power available. Billy has a hook up socket installed which can be utilised if you wish to add 3-pin sockets. Due to his large battery, multiple charging sources and availability of space for additional changes, there is also the opportunity to easily add a 240v system to the current set up. Electric cables can be tidied once final set up decided.
