I bought this off an old couple that had cherished it and owned for 11 years touring Europe and they had invested lots of money into it. It was already a camper when I bought it, but the style was dated. My intention was to redesign the style and layout and that is what I have done to present a more modern and functional camper van space leaving in the original wet room and boiler/gas system.
It’s a perfect size being a medium wheel base (L2) and is amazing on fuel. These Renaults have a galvanized chassis also so it doesn’t suffer from rust issues unlike other van models.
Huge folder of receipts. Very well looked after and serviced. It’s had everything. The tyres all look new and haven’t done much mileage, but they were noted on last MOT purely as they’re old.
– Wet room with Thetford Cassette Toiler with electric flush plus hot/cold shower
– Underslung water tank
– Two really nice cab seats (passenger is captain’s chair)
– Two skylights
– Opening rear window with curtains
– Kitchen area with 2-ring gas hob and good-sized sink
– 230v hook up system with multiple plugs inside the camper
– 200w Solar panel for off-grid usage
– 12v light switches
– 12v TV and aerial
– 12v / 230v Alpicool 40L chest fridge / freezer
– Propex boiler will run either on gas (off-grid) or via hook up electricity for hot water
– Seating bench and rear cushioned seats will pull out to make either small double bed across behind cab or a narrower, but longer bed lengthways
– Stunning solid oak table (height adjustable or removable for sleeping)
– Carbon alarm/fire extinguisher + all operating manuals
– Lead acid leisure battery + Split charger + hook up battery charger
It’s good to go and perfect for 1-2 people.
It’s all set up for campsite power. Everything will also run via off-grid power, but I’d recommend the battery to be upgraded to Lithium (£300) and lithium-compatible solar charge controller for enhanced off-grid power if you require to keep the fridge running overnight. I can upgrade battery for new owner if required and advise, for a fee, but it depends on how you plan to use the camper.
Lovely camper. Brilliant base van with peace of mind reliability and servicing history and a very functional and comfortable camper space.
Great price — the last one I’m building and I’ve given notice on my campervan workshop. It’s still available. Make it yours!
Long 6ft 2in single.
Will pull out to create more width and will just about sleep two that way, but a little narrow.
Alternatively a small double can also be made lower down behind the cab using the extra bench cushions. This is approx 4ft wide x 5ft 10in long.
