Mercedes Benz Sprinter 208 CDI SWB
Blue is aging gracefully and has some areas of rust around the bottom of the doors and wheel arches as expected for a 23 year old van. The 2.1l diesel engine and 5 speed gearbox are in good condition and is just run in (204,000 miles). Tyres are all in good condition. MOT until March 2026. I use it as my daily drive with no problems and often travel from Somerset down to Devon. I’ve used it for trips to Europe too and never skipped a beat. I’ve had the van since July 2020. Unfortunately I need a smaller (and more economical) vehicle.
I’ve had the van since July 2020. It had been converted to a camper already, but the bed was transverse and not long enough for me. I have reconfigured it and fitted a replacement ceiling, floor and kitchen units together with a pull-out bed, lighting system and USB chargers which run from the leisure battery which is charged by a split-charger. I’ve also fitted shelving / storage behind the driver seat.
I’ve fitted an upgraded stereo including an 1800W amp, Mission speakers and a subwoofer.
The kitchen is basic but with solid oak worktop. A camping cooker / Camping Gaz bottle is included.
The van previously had a solar panel on the roof which has been removed. The wiring is still in-place and the controller is included (not fitted)
Wiring, sockets and a consumer unit are included for mains hook-up. All that’s required is connecting the consumer unit (under passenger seat).
The bed is pull-out with a custom foam mattress. When extended it is 120cm x 190cm (standard Small Double) and when pushed back in it becomes a built-in sofa.
