For sale is our much loved VW T4 campervan “Bruce”
Bought in 2020 to enable us to travel round the UK, he has been a trusty van seeing us around the country and around Europe. We have loved owning him but since moving down to Cornwall we just haven’t really used him (we did just over 200 miles in the last year!), so selling him on to someone who will love him like we have.

Engine: Has a brilliant engine that makes this van a pleasure to drive (far better than the usual T4 engines). Swapped in 2015 for a Golf TDI engine. Mileage reads 227,896 but engine has actually done around 138,000. Which for a diesel engine means it still has plenty of mileage left. Has also been remapped and has additional torque from front mounted intercooler plus larger injectors. Really I cannot stress how great it is to drive!
Has a fifth gear conversion, so runs low revs on motorways and means it is surprisingly economical.
Recent (2023) cam belt change
New headlights put in a couple of years ago which means you can actually see when driving at night! Anyone who has driven a T4 with the original lights will appreciate what this means.
Bodywork: Bilstein suspension which makes it a great ride. £3000 spent over the last 4 years on welding including new side panel, rear bulkhead and a new exhaust.
Interior: Captain seats, seating that pulls out to a comfy small double bed (not an uncomfortable rock and roll bed), skim board table, reclaimed wood flooring and countertop, dual gas burner (this was done by the previous owner so we can’t guarantee the gas certification), sink, waeco fridge, TV, 230v socket, spot lights, voltage indicator, 2 leisure batteries.
Quirks: Bruce is not a new van. This means he’s not perfect. There are a few places where paint has been resprayed, one of the door locks is a bit funny (but we can supply a replacement lock for you to fit) and the temperature gauge doesn’t work anymore. However, when you drive him you’ll soon forget these.
If wanted we can include the cover and a tent we bought as a driveway awning from Decathlon. We will also include some basic camping stuff (plates, cups , a couple of pans, a kettle etc so you can go away straight away!

Reclaimed wood flooring and worktop, pine and Hessian lining. Insulated, side window installed. Black out curtains for all side and rear window. Front cover also for when camping.
Sofa /bed has foam cushions with memory foam tops.
Sink, dual hob, gas bottle, fridge. Plenty of storage.
Captain chairs at front.
Seating with storage underneath that pulls out to small double. Will measure at request!
