About the build

As you can see above there has been a fortune spent on this conversion!

This was a former disability school bus and had seriously low miles!
The old floor, carpets and plastics were removed, the metal shell inside was cleaned, treated with metal protector. I then used noise reduction pads on all the metal sheet parts.

I used 20 & 40mm closed sell insulation boards on the floor, walls and ceiling. 2 x sheets of vapour barrier and 4 way stretch carpet.

I have used all quality components and an extreme attention to detail. I built this over 18 months and spent well over £25,000 on the build plus the cost of the van which was not a cheap van given its milage and service history.

Why am I selling?

When I started this build I was single and planned to live and travel full time so splashed out on everything for this van! during the build I met a lady and moved in with her so sadly the van hardly leaves the drive (she’s no into van life) but we’ve had a few trips away and I did a couple of weeks in Spain. This van is the truly ultimate 1-2 person full time expedition van, 3 if you’ve got a small child and use the original bench seat for the seatbelt points. (2 seater bench comes with sale too if wanted as its in my garage)

V5 and service book present.
5 services, last service 800 miles ago
MOT till October (last MOT no advisories, so will fly through)
I bought this van for £22,000 as it had only 10k on the clock. I have spent well over £25k (well I stopped counting at £25k but probably closer to 30k!!) on the build, plus over a year of design and labour. I’m going to leave it as priced as I know there are many who will understand the value in this van. I may entertain serious offers but I don’t expect this van will be up for sale for long. It was recently at the van life uk meet and I had so many people tell me out of 3000 vans that mine was the best one there!

What’s left to do on the van?

Nothing! buy it, move in, live your best #vanlife I will sell the van with a full tank of fuel, full spare fuel and a full gas bottle! and a few cold beers in the fridge 🙂 Plus everything thats in the van and not personal to me so this really is get the keys, move in and you’re done.

The outside is still a blank canvas ready for the buyers preferred graphics, or leave it stealth! you’ll notice no external step, this is deliberate as I intended to travel off some beaten tracks and didn’t want a step making contact with a rock or undulating ground. But there is a very sturdy step that comes with the van.

I’m bound to have forgotten loads of things so please message me if you have any questions. The van is restricted to 65mph and I never removed it because if you’re doing long trips I much prefer it as you can keep your foot flat on the gas and know you’re not going to get any tickets! As well as giving you much better fuel consumption. The limiter can be removed easily with an ECU flash. A/C is operated via the electric windows.(no factory ac)

I am away until Wednesday 2nd August. I can host viewings from then. I know the value of this van, I won’t reply to messages from the usual Dave’s and Barrys who say ‘thats worth £20k, I’ll give you £21k’ rubbish. If I don’t sell it I don’t sell it! and trust me I really don’t want to sell it. But I expect this won’t be on here long as this has to be one of the best custom build campers in the country and is kitted out like a luxury apartment. The right person will understand the work and cost involved for this stunning build.

Serious offers considered. I have the worst phone signal currently waiting for ee to sort it, #village life. so best to whattsapp, email etc.
