Ford Transit Long High 2.2 Manual
The van is an ex Network Rail Crew van. Has been very reliable over the 33000 miles that I’ve driven. New clutch and fly wheel in 2024.
6 speed Manual Diesel
MOT July 2026, no advisories
I specifically built this van for enjoying the great outdoors with my hound family. The layout is optimised for floorspace and storage. It’s lovely and bright inside with a window either side and the rear portholes. Robust and easy to keep clean. Very reluctant sale as need a smaller van now.
12v LED lighting, USB sockets, inverter, split charger, Flettner vent, Eberspacher heater, 2 ring gas hob
The rear doors can be opened with dogs safely loose inside. Side door has a tough fabric curtain to deter escape. Both doors and the rear storage area also have waterproof zip down curtains.
Fixed single bed extends to a double. Orientation could easily be changed if a longer bed is wanted in extended form.
Lots of storage. Rear underbed storage accessible from inside and out in addition to internal cupboards and drawers. A paddleboard bag fits in one of the underbed compartments.
Split charger tops up leisure batteries whenever engine is running. USB sockets in rear and cab. 12V lighting. 1000W inverter. It has no hookup or solar panels as I’ve never needed them despite being away for months at a time.
Although I don’t have a weighbridge receipt van is weighed at each MOT and is comfortably within limit. Last time I checked it was 3.1 Tonnes with full tank and packed ready for a trip.
Fixed single bed at the rear that extends to form a double.
