This campervan was originally sold to me through Quirky Campers by a skilled carpenter who crafted it with care, intending to launch a new venture in van conversions. The craftsmanship shines throughout, with units and a rock and roll bed that were built in his own workshop.
Stripped back to bare metal, the van now boasts fully insulated walls, ceiling, and floor, making it a cosy retreat in all seasons. It features a blue-carpeted ply lining on the walls, an oak laminate floor, and a stunning pine tongue & groove ceiling.
The furniture is constructed from lightweight yet durable 12mm birch ply, ensuring strength without compromising on weight. For added support, the bed has steel runners underneath, so you can relax knowing it’s built to last.
Adding a touch of character, the kitchen worktop is made from a live edge slab of yew, housing a Smev 1922 sink with a double gas hob. There’s a convenient fold-up table that provides enough space for meal prep and dining, right next to the cooker. The tap, connected to a 12V control panel, pumps fresh water from a 10L tank, draining into a matching 10L grey water tank. Both tanks are neatly stored under the sink, alongside a 25L plug-in cool box, which runs on either the 12V system or 240V mains. A 6KG Calor gas bottle supplies the cooker, securely fastened in a dedicated gas cupboard.
For lighting, 4 LED spotlights are set into a live edge red cedar board on the ceiling, complemented by an LED strip beneath the yew worktop. Both are independently controlled via switches on the 12V control panel, creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
The leisure battery is nearly new, with a 95Ah capacity, and can be charged while driving or when connected to a 240V mains supply. The van is equipped with an external camping mains site plug, and comes with a cable to easily hook it up at campgrounds. There is a 12v control panel, which itself includes 6 switches, 2 USB sockets and one 12v socket. The 240v supplies power to 4 standard plug sockets.
A set of custom-fitted seat covers has been installed on the cab seats, ensuring the seats are protected from muddy paws. There’s also a fitted front window insulation cover that helps regulate the temperature inside the van, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter. Additionally, I’m including two ratchet straps for the roof rack, making it easy to secure any extra gear for your adventures.
