Storytime:
My partner and I have never had a campervan before. We purchased Donny (yes, we named him Donny) for two reasons; number one, we were planning on travelling to Spain and Italy a lot (climbing), and we liked the idea of having a van rather than renting cars and B&Bs. Number two, we used to have a cat and leaving him behind was simply not an option.
We are selling him only because Curly (our cat) passed away and, at the same time, we decided to purchase a property abroad, meaning we won’t use Donny anymore.
We had countless trips through the Pyrenees and the Alps with Donny and Curly, they were both the best travelling buddies!
Whilst in our care we looked after Donny by:
Reinforcing the handbrake.
Install all season tires (no need to change them when crossing mountains)
Replace the DPF.
Replace the wing mirrors.
Fully checked and pumped up spare wheel.
Also, the main battery was replaced less than a year ago.
We replaced all the cupboard doors, repainted the inside, and gave him a good wax every few months.
We also removed the electric tap as the pump was so powerful that it shot water straight out of the door and we replaced it with a pedal pump, giving more control over flow and saving water.
We did not cut corners and we treated this van like family, we would love for him to find a new owner that will treat him the same! 🙂
Vehicle type:
the vehicle is registered as N1 (light commercial vehicle) with DVLA. I doubt the total weight after conversion is past 3000kg.
Conversion:
the van was converted by a previous owner. It has a small kitchen area with a sink and a pedal pump, 5 compartments for storage, one of which is used for 2 water tanks. There is a tiled panel above the kitchen area, much easier to clean than just wood!
The bed turns into a sitting area and the removable table can be installed both inside or outside the double doors.
There is plenty storage under the bed, and two small extra cabinets on one side.
double bed, memory foam mattress
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
