Comfy off-grid Vauxhall Movano, MWB H3

A very homely camper that has been our home as we’ve travelled northern Europe and the UK over the past year. It’s time to find a new owner looking to go on some off-grid adventures!

​• 75L fresh water tank with digital water level gauge
• 12v Shurflo high pressure water pump and expansion tank
​• ​3 x 130ah Leisure batteries creating a total of 390ah 12v battery power
• 330W rigid solar panel through a Tri-Metric MPPT Solar Charge Controller and battery management system, 140amp split charger when driving and 240v hookup with smart battery charger when on a campsite
• 2 x 240v internal sockets, can be used when hooked-up to mains
​• USB and 12v power points throughout the camper
• Fully insulated throughout including the floor, walls, doors and ceiling, using a mixture of Celotex, thermal fleece, closed cell foam and reflective foil insulation
• Thermostatic 5kw diesel heater connected to the vans main fuel tank, and which ducts to both the living space and garage area
​• 12v remote-controlled ceiling Maxx Fan

Kitchen
• 3 ring gas hob with wooden lid for additional work top when not in use
• Raised ceramic sink with cold tap that pulls out and has regular/rinse modes
• The work top is made from lightweight stained pine plus a fold-out table to extend the work top
• 65L Apicool fridge freezer with removable freezer compartment to create a bigger fridge

Shower Cubicle
• The shower is set up by connecting a shower curtain to 4 hooks in the ceiling to create a small cubicle – bottom half tiled, top half curtain
• Can be used as an extra kitchen worktop when not using the shower
• Doubles up as storage for the cassette toilet

Living/Dining Space
• Tinted side windows, blackout curtains and a black out curtain for the cab area
• Fixed 2-seater sofa with upholstered foam cushions. Big hidden chest storage underneath
• Large pine table – removable and fully adjustable, plenty big enough to seat two people on laptops (which we did many times)!
​• Passenger and Driver swivel seats: When not driving the seats can be turned to face the rear, making a lovely big dining/social area
• A low storage box between the driver and passenger seats. We used this to store our electronics and as an extra seat around the dining table

Sleeping Area
• The internal width of the Movano is wider than average, which allows the bed to be positioned widthways freeing up a huge amount of living space. This setup allows for the same size living space you would find in a LWB but in a MWB van small enough to fit in a normal parking space.
• Wall-mounted 12v smart TV (removable) and remote control
• Reading lights above bed and USB charging spots

Storage
• Huge amounts of storage throughout including overhead units, chest storage, pull out pantry and cupboards. The garage area under the bed can be accessed from the living space as well as the back doors. The area was big enough for both of our bikes to stand upright with front wheels removed.
