Vauxhall Movano L3H2
**Happy to share full video tour of the van- please feel free to WhatsApp me +447873201327**
This van was designed and built with the intention of living and travelling in it full time, but can also be used perfectly for short trips. The space is very light, double insulated, and is spacious thanks to a fold-down bed that can be used as a table during the day for working or enjoying meals. Option to include a starlink which is incredible for high speed internet throughout Europe.
Vehicle
Vauxhall Movano 2012 L3 H2, very low mileage (64,000) 6 speed manual, RWD, full MOT. Full tinted windows across the left side of the vehicle, small window by the sink which includes an extendable shower attachment, skylight above the bed which allows for great ventilation when the Maxx Air Fan is in use. Includes roof rack for surfboards, 2 x 175w Solar panels, 3 x gas hobs, under-mounted gas tank, large sink, 3 x 25L fresh water, 1 X 25L grey water, fold out portable toilet, 50L mini fridge/freezer, 3 x power outlets, ample storage.
Gas
Under-mounted refillable gas tank, 30L capacity, professionally fitted. This is only used to power the hobs, so lasts over a year easily when filled.
Lighting
We cared a lot about the lighting when designing this van. All lighting is warm and dimmable. There are 6 x overhead dimmable lights, under cabinet dimmable lighting, 2 x built-in rotating bedside lamps and fairy lights.
The full left side of the van has large windows offering panoramic views from bed/ table when parked (these are tinted allowing for privacy). These are complimented by a skylight above the bed, a small window by the sink and an opening in the bulkhead, making the van feel very light but also cosy. Black-out blinds are provided for all windows.
Water
3 x 25L Fresh water, 1 x 25L grey water allows for extended periods off-grid (5-6 days). Electric pump and accumulator for consistent flow. The sink is large and the tap can be extended to outside the small window for outdoor showering. Cold water only, option to attach to the gas tank for hot water.
Battery Charging
This van is fully set up for off-grid living with a professionally designed electrical system by Nomadic Energy. It’s built to support full-time van life and extended time off-grid. 350W of solar from 2 x 175W rigid panels on the roof, wired through a Victron MPPT charge controller
Alternator charging via a 30A Victron Battery-to-Battery (B2B) charger, allowing full charging of the leisure batteries while driving.
Inverter
Victron 500VA pure sine wave inverter — ideal for charging laptops, cameras, or running small appliances.
Battery Storage
375Ah total capacity from 3 x 125Ah TN Power AGM batteries. These are high-quality deep-cycle batteries and can be discharged safely to 65% without impacting their lifespan.
Estimated 3 days of off-grid power without charging, depending on your usage. We would run the van for a few hours each day if staying in one place for 4+ days while remote, powering laptops, additional screens, starlink and lights.
12V System
All essential components (lights, fridge, heater, fans) run on 12V, connected through a fuse box (lots of extra room for additional outputs)
Victron Battery Monitor with app connectivity to keep an eye on power usage.
BatteryProtect module ensures your batteries are not over-discharged.
Several USB and 12V sockets throughout the van, including USB ports near the bed for overnight phone charging.
Cooking
3 x gas hobs, plenty of space for pots and pans and cooking equipment, and a 50L fridge/ freezer which can be used all as one large fridge or separate compartments for fridge / freezer.
Baby belfast sink provides lots of space for cleaning, with a built in chopping board that slots into the sink opening providing extra space.
Storage
As we spent 6 months living and working in this van, there is ample storage in overhead compartments, under the bed and behind the seats. Roof racks allow for carrying surfboards or kayaks outside of the van.
Security
Professionally fitted with a remote tracker by Global Telemetrics: brings down the price of the insurance for the vehicle considerably. Includes automatic notification to your phone when the ignition is started.
Heater
Diesel heater is installed however needs to be replaced as there is a fault with the machine. We bought this online for around £100 and is easy to replace. If this is a problem, we can replace ahead of the purchase.
Bed
The bed is a full size double when put down, but can be easily transformed into a table during the day to maximise space within the van.
Why we’re selling
We now live in London and just can’t have the access to this van that it deserves. If we could keep it we would, but it’s better being used by someone who loves it as much as we have.
