This lovely camper was converted back in 2022, it has had a few adventures but sadly I’m not using it to its full potential.
Let’s get the boring bit over and done with, this van has been converted with a Renogy 12V 100Ah LifePO4 lithium leisure battery; a Victron 175W solar panel on the roof deck with space to put more if needed; a Thetford triplex oven and stove top; a Truma Combi 2E boiler and space heater; a 57-litre water tank that curves over the wheel arch; a 16-litre underslung LPG gas canister, an 88-litre Montpelier fridge freezer (this is 240V but an inverter has been installed for it to work off-grid); a solar-powered roof ventilator that keeps an airflow when the van is not in use; and finally an Air Max Ultra Quiet 12-volt fan.
Three extra windows have been professionally fitted, one on the back door, one on the sliding door, and the third behind the driver’s side window; all windows have been fitted with bespoke blackout curtains. The front seats have been taken out and replaced with two wider and comfier captain seats; the passenger side swivels around to add extra seating in the kitchen area of the van. All woodwork in the van has been completed by a master carpenter with over 30 years of experience. Moving on to the living area of the van, there is a small sofa facing towards the sliding door (with a little work and a third pullout bed could be made from this), underneath the sofa is a large storage area. The stainless steel kitchen sink (31.6 x 43.3 x 25.4) with a bespoke chopping board that fits on top to increase counter space; this also faces out of the van so you can do your washing up with a view!! The kitchen tap has an extendable hose so if something needs cleaning outside of the camper it can be done. The boiler can use either 240V electricity or gas to heat up both the water and the van, heating is also piped into the back of the van to keep the battery warm during cold nights. All cupboards have latches so they don’t swing open during travel.
Storage is hidden all over the van, there is a large space in the back under the bed; space for a portable toilet (unused one included in sale); space all along the top in overhead cupboards; under the sink, and on either side of the oven; and finally in the headspace above the driver and passenger seat. If that’s still not enough, a Rhino roof rack has been fitted so a roof box can be added if need be. Soundproofing, insulation, and a vapour layer are all underneath the woodwork; the woodwork is also an ultra-light and where possible insulated ply. The water tank has also had an outlet valve plumbed in for when you need to empty the tank.
Everything in this camper has been lovingly handcrafted and I will be very sad to see it go!!
