This is a stunning cosy little camper based off the MK7 Ford Transit SWB van.
It had been previously attempted to be converted by a previous owner. My landlord picked the van up last year in an Auction. He has only used it to ferry his keyboards to local gigs.
I recently converted it for him to the standard it is now but he has no use for it anymore, hence it is for sale.
It is a medium roof and has a head height inside of approx. 1.65m, just enough to stand upish in.
Would be a great van for a solo traveller, but has the option to turn the bed into a small double.
It’s great as a luxurious day van or as a long weekend/festival camper – for singletons or a couple.
It has tinted windows installed on both sides with black out curtains.
The camper has a 3 way fridge (gas does not work however), Above the fridge is a SMEV, 2 burner hob with blue and white tiling. Above this, mounted on an extendable arm is the TV with DVD player- includes a magnetic ariel that sticks to the roof. Works extremely well TBH.
Installed in the kitchen worktop is a good sized sink and tap, supplying water through a 12v submersible pump. The water is stored in a 10L container behind the passenger seat. If you can find more 10L containers of the same size, there is enough space for two. Easy to just swap the pump over. The kitchen sink unit has a cutlery draw and a cupboard to house the gas bottle. It also has the unique feature of having the side part fold down to the outside of the van to form a table. It also has four circular bottle/drinks holders.
The space under the worktop houses the Thetford Porta Potti, which is held with bungee straps. But if you’d prefer not to have the toilet on board, you could use it to store equipment or suitcases/bags etc. The toilet can even be placed in the boot and used for emergencies!
In its normal state there is a fixed single bed with a side table under the storage lockers and a sofa seat on the opposite side. Both of these can simply lift off and be used as a small storage underneath. If required, a frame fits between the two and forms the double bed. Just pop the other mattress half on top. Again, both can be stored in the boot when not in use.
Power is supplied via a 130AH AGM leisure battery. This can be charged via A. The engines alternator via a split charge relay B. Solar Power via the 100W monocrystalline panel and MPPT controller.
There is not too much to power inside the van, so should be ample. There are 4 USB ports in total, a 12V water pump, 12V TV, 3 main lights, all individually controlled and 2 blue downlights under the lockers. Great for cosy evenings.
There are several areas for storage – above the cab is a goodsized locker. On the one side above the bed are two, wall mounted lockers aswell as a locker next to the fridge, All of the doors stay closed via locks or springs, so nothing flies open during transit. It has a good sized boot with plenty of room for deck chairs, windbreaks, equipment, BBQs etc.
Overall this is a very tidy and neat van. Although it does have 200K miles it drives extremely well and has been looked after.
Any questions, please ask, offers welcome.
