We love cooking so it was really important to us that the camper had a large kitchen area, and for it to be comfortable and practical.
To ensure the camper felt airy and spacious we kept the units all low level – but don’t worry, there is tons of storage! There are 2 utensil drawers, and 2 large cupboards within the kitchen area. Then under the bed, we have fitted 4 large drawers, with push to open runners – because there’s nothing worse than when all the drawers open if you brake suddenly! There are two handy storage areas under the dinette seating. Hinged lids give easy access with upholstered seat cushions made from 2-inch memory foam and removable covers. One of these seats also has a hinged door to allow a portaloo to be stowed away.
Around to the rear of the vehicle, there is a huge boot, with ample storage, giving access to the electrics and gas locker.
The furniture is all handmade, and painted in Farrow & Ball Plummett, with pewter cup handles throughout. The kitchen area is fitted with solid oak worktops, an under-mounted stainless steel sink & feature tap, 2 burner glass gas hob, and loads of worktop space to cook up a storm on your camping trips! There is also a large capacity Dometic compressor fridge with an icebox. There are 50 litre fresh and grey water tanks below the worktop, with external taps for easy filling and draining.
The camper is fully insulated and clad in pine tongue and groove, painted in Farrow & Ball Cornforth White. There is a 2kw Planar diesel heater to keep the camper warm and toasty.
A 110 amp leisure battery is fitted, and there is electric hook up for use on campsites, but for off-grid camping, there is also a 100-watt solar panel with split charge relay. This panel keeps both the leisure battery and vehicle battery topped up when the vehicle engine is not in use.
All the curtains have been made to measure with matching tiebacks, and a matching roller blind at the kitchen window.
