Self built motorhome, fully sound deadend and insulated with dodo dead mat, finished to a high standard as you can see by the pictures.
The van runs off 2x 110ah leisure batteries which are charged with a Nemo charge controller and split charger, this also has a solar port should you wish to add a solar panel and all lighting, fridge and USB sockets are 12v.
There is bags of storage in the overhead lockers which are all built with moisture resistant mdf with red wood carcasses and painted with scrubable white paint.
The ceiling and walls are clad with custom built moisture resistant mdf and again finished in scubable paint.
The Custom built kitchen work top and cupboards consist of a cutlery draw, a large drawer that houses a 12v 120l fridge a large cupboard used to house 25L waste water and 25L fresh water storage along with enough room for plates pots pans and kettle for the gas hob. A 2nd large cupboard houses other essentials including a portable potty. The kitchen worktop is made from solid oak and finished in a clear silk finish varnish to prevent stains and houses a good sized sink with push plug. The tap works im the traditional way utilising a 12v system consisting of a whale pump and a whale pressure switch which is easily adjustable should you want to up the size of the pump. It also houses a 2 ring LPG gas burner which is very affective for cooking and boiling water.
With cooking in mind, the cooker is right next to the opening side window for ventilation and if steam is an issue, we have fitted the large Maxx Fann deluxe roof fan which is arguably the best on the market.
The van has 2 side windows, and fitted curtains on both and a bulkhead curtain at the front for warmth and privacy. The van will also come with a screen cover and thermal inserts to prevent condensation on cold nights and with old nights in mind, the van also comes fitted with a remote controlled diesel heater which has a separate diesel tank and runs from the leisure battery providing you with a fantastic source of heat throughout the night or just when you fancy a bit of extra warmth.
We have had a M1 crash tested Rock and Roll bed custom made and fitted behind the sliding door in such a way that you get full access/ egress when it is in its seat position and when folded out into its bed position makes for a comfortable nights sleep for the average sized person. There is also a removable custom made live edge sycamore wood table which can pivot 180° to allow for a table inside and out of the van.
The front passenger seats have a R&J camper swivel base and still benefit from full storage below when in either position and really opens up the space when facing into the living area.
To the rear if the van is a large double memory foam fixed bed with enough room to sleep 2 adults up to 6’6 comfortably, below the bed is a large storage area which houses a dog box that is big enough for a male labrador and painted to match the decor and allows access from the front living area or the rear of the van. The diesel heater, gas bottle and batteries are also housed in this space and still allows enough free space for all your familys luggage etc.
No expense was spared when creating this van and we will sadly miss her but we would like to do another build in a smaller van with overlanding in mind.
