This amazing van has taken our family on many adventures over the past couple of years. What she lacks in whizzy mod-cons she makes up for with comfort and practicality. She’s cavernous inside, with room for 6 belted seats, a large double rock & roll bed, children’s bunkbeds and a fully functional kitchen area. You can use her as a day van as well as a camper for weekends or longer holidays away. The space inside means you can fit whatever kit you need for your adventure in. She also has a roof rack and towbar that give flexibility for additional storage (we used a tow mounted bike rack) on most of our longer trips. She’s really easy to drive and park with a very handy reversing camera.
And the engine is an absolute beast – the 3 litre “million mile engine” as the guys at our garage refer to it as, has been remapped to give it more fuel efficiency (an impressive 38mpg), and even more power. You’l have no problem blasting up steep hills or overtaking BMWs on the motorway in her. A test drive is highly recommended – she is great fun to drive.
She’s just passed her MOT so 12 months on it. All the advisories they identified have been fixed. She’s wanted for nothing – since we’ve owned her we’ve replaced the brake discs, fitted a new performance exhaust, a new leisure battery and replaced the water pump. We’ve also fitted a sealed gas locker and extra vents for the gas that feeds the hob and heater – so that it meets the most recent gas regulations. The bodywork is “well loved” with a few affectionate bumps, dents and scratches – but she’s an adventure van, not a show van, so its never bothered us!
Professional conversion by Vanguard Conversions (Fort William) in 2016. Its in great condition with a recently upgraded gas locker and ventilation to comply with the most recent gas regulations. We have used the van for lots of wild camping trips, as well weekends on camp sites using the electric hookup and a European trip too. It is a great van whether you wildcamp or visit campsites.

The adult double bed (triple seat) is a slide out rock’n’roll bed (safety crash tested) measuring 1.35 x 1.8 metres. There are 2 child bunks measuring 1.5 metres and a 3rd child bed also measuring 1.5m which sets up in the rear aisle, next to the lower bunk. You can also purchase bunks to hang over the front seats to accommodate another child if required (4 in total!) – for very little additional cost. The kids love sleeping in the built in bunks, each has its own reading light, storage pouches and curtains.
The upper children’s bunk can be lifted up so that the lower bunk can be used as a seat instead. So when you don’t have the kids with you, you can use it as a seating area whilst the double bed is made up.
