Mercedes Sprinter 313 CDI XLWB
2.143CC Diesel engine, runs like a dream. Drives nice and smooth — you’d forget you were in a van sometimes.
129 BHP
6-speed gearbox.
“Million-mile” engine on these style Sprinters – chain cam, so the engine runs like a dream & it’ll never wear out. It’s been taken all over UK & Europe and breezed to the top of the Pyrenees (and back down again!)
Gets about 30MPG on average: ~35 on the motorway (depending on how fast you want to go…!) and 25-30 up in the mountains.
Body is in decent condition — a few minor scratches etc. but completely rust-free. Took all the bumpers off and sealed off the holes for the bumper clips as well, which can be a problem in Sprinters.
Low mileage relative to its age.
We’ve had it fully serviced every year since we had it.
New rear brakes & handbrake last MOT.
New tyres last year.
An amazing campervan — we’re only selling as we’ve moved to France and importing is a hassle. We spent a year fully van-lifing, with two adults, two kids and a dog. ‘Hazel’ will be sadly missed.
NB: the van is in the UK — in Milton Keynes for viewings.
Fully off-grid, with 400 watts of RENOGY solar controlled by RENOGY mppt charge controller, supplying a 340Ah RENOGY battery bank (2 x 170Ah which is enough to last you… a long time off-grid. We never ran out, even during winter in Scotland) with 500A Battery Monitor with Shunt/Sampler (Coulomb meter) feeding in-van info screen.
VICTRON Orion-TR Smart 12/12 30A DC-DC charger (with this on and the solar panels, we’ve literally never had to charge the batteries any other way)
VICTRON Bluesmart IP22 12V/30A battery charger (this is your backup — can plug it into any UK socket. Also have a converter for EHU that’s included in the van)
VICTRON Phoenix 12/800W pure sinewave inverter
50 litre fresh-water tank situated in garage with three-phase filtration system (easy to replace filters) so no need to worry about water system freezing up, and you could fill it from a puddle and get clean drinking water out the other end. John Guest pipework throughout.
SHURFLO Trail King 7 water-pump and Fiamma expansion vessel.
MAXXAIR Maxfan electric roof fan with remote control
TRUMA Combi 4e: boiler/heater with thermostat. Hot water (either 50 or 60 degrees C depending on setting) and blown-air heating ducted throughout van (front cab, living area x2, garage) which keeps the van wonderfully toasty even in the snow. We were in France in February, and only knew it’d snowed when the opened the door!
THETFORD Spinflo 2 Burner Hotplate Boat and Caravan Hob and Grill
VITRIFRIGIO C85i 12v Compressor Fridge/Freezer – plenty of space for a good few days’ food for four. Small freezer compartment for peas, ice-cubes/cream…
USB ports and 240v sockets throughout
Garage area with lots of storage room
AutoGas 30L LPG tank – underslung, feeds the hob & the Truma. Lasts about two/three weeks from one fill (costs about a tenner) Livello LPG gauge inside van. LPG adapter discs included (worth about £50) so you can use all over the world without hassle.
Overhead lights and reading lights in bedroom area.
Storage pockets.
BLUE DIAMOND Nature Calls Composting Toilet
Spare Tyre underneath
Reversing camera
Touch-screen media centre w. USB connection
Swivel seats with storage
I’ve had it on the weighbridge, with our stuff inside it (clothes, food, etc) and it comes out just over 3T. I’ve lost the ticket, though! Can get another one if you want it.
Loads of power and drives really nicely. There is a lot more to mention, so please get in touch for further information.
I’ve done a set of walk-through instructions for each bit of the system, so will send those along so you don’t get stuck!
Thule bike rack for two bikes.
Cargo rack on top.
Suction cup insulating blinds for cab & windows.
Lots of storage nooks & crannies throughout.
Bench seat with storage.
Swivel front seats (passenger & driver) which really opens up the place when you’re camped up for an evening.
Folding dining table.
Fully insulated with Kingspan rigid boards on floor, ceiling and wool in walls and sound deadening on walls.
This is an ideal campervan for anyone — solo, couple, family, friends and not one to miss! I’m in France, so WhatsApp is good if you want to call/text.
One double bed, which works any way you want to lay (is basically a square)
Two fold down single bunks above. Bunks are amazing for kids (or adults!) up to ~160cm
We lived in it full time and it was very cosy. IKEA memory foam mattresses which were custom cut to size.
