1998 VW T4 2.4L Diesel (LWB)
A much-loved, home-built off-grid camper conversion. Nicknamed “Fez”.
Sadly, Fez currently doesn’t start. The problem has been traced to a faulty fuel pump by a local trusted mechanic. Estimated cost to repair is about £500 for a refurbished pump, plus 2-3 hours labour.
Other significant features:
– Right hand drive.
– Manual gearbox.
– Side sliding door (passenger side).
– Rear up-and-over door.
Mechanical work done during our custodianship includes:
– All 4 brake discs replaced for new in 2019.
– New exhaust fitted in 2022.
– New battery in 2022.
– Fan belt replaced at 164002 miles (this is a common replacement for these vans at higher mileage, but as this was done just 12000 miles ago, you don’t need to worry about it for a long time yet!)
Fez is currently SORN, and has been unused for approx. 3 years now due to other life events taking priority. We’re selling as we’re moving home, and with a young family we are just not getting the use of the van that it deserves.
