Fiat Doblo Freedom
56 plate Fiat Doblo Freedom
Low mileage at 92k
Professionally converted
Electric hook-up
Leisure battery, charging while you drive
2x USB connected to leisure battery
1x 3-pin plug connected to electric hook-up
Integrated 12V fridge with freezer compartment, running off of leisure battery
Hob with two rings, including a new full butane gas bottle (located in its own compartment). These gas bottles are very common and easy to find, and you will find one bottle lasts a very long time!
Sink β tap connects externally to your water container
Tow bar
Rock and roll bed β about three-quarters width of a double bed. Functions as two legal seats with seatbelts when driving and then pulls out into your bed. When driving this clicks into place so it wonβt move. I am quite tall and tend to move the driver and passenger seat forward at night for extra length.
Table which clips onto the cupboard unit, maximising space
LED ceiling lights running off of leisure battery. Paired with the custom curtains, this gives for a very cosy feel at night. Carpeted walls and ceiling keep the heat in.
Control panel with battery gauge and switches
Storage includes two side cupboards, two bedside shelves, large shelf over front cab, large storage area underneath the rock and roll bed accessed from front and rear.
Fixed high roof β total vehicle height 2.1m
Air con (needs topped up)
Opening rear windows and electric front windows
2x keys β central locking
Also including an inverter for charging higher powered devices like a laptop, connects to leisure battery using rings or clips. If you found you were using this regularly you could have this permanently fitted (I didnβt use it enough!)
There are some minor cosmetic blemishes inside and outside as expected of any vehicle this age. Inside, the glass covers on the hob and sink have some light scratches. There is a small tear in the surface of the flooring where the bed pulls out. Externally there are some light scratches on the paint just from bushes and such, nothing deep and no big dents.
All new brake discs and pads, both new handbrake cables, and new exhaust mid-section and back box all in the last year.
Fantastic clean MOT history
Officially registered as a motorhome (motor caravan) which increases your insurance options and means you are not speed limited like in converted vans.
Occasionally glow plug error shows on start-up when cold but all glow plugs were replaced including glow plug module a couple of years ago and it still showed the error even then. It starts first time every time even when itβs covered in snow!
Mechanically everything that has come up has always been taken care of regardless of cost. The only thing I am aware of that may need done at some point is the clutch which I have been advised is just starting to slip. I have a folder full of history for this vehicle.
Effortless to drive and park. It will happily sit at 70mph on the motorway. At only 4.3m long the Doblo fits into any parking space and is perfect for using as your daily drive instead of needing a second vehicle, as I have with this one for the past 5 years! I have absolutely loved this van and will be sad to see it go. I have just sorned the Doblo this month due to buying a new vehicle and transferring my insurance across. It is MOT’ed until 30th September with no advisories.
Any questions please just ask.
I am located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland, and can meet you off the ferry – ferries depart from Troon (with train connection) and Claonaig.
