Fiat Ducato 35 maxi multijet LWB
2287cc. Diesel. 6 gear. New MOT, Newish tyres. No rust. Robust with good ground clearance. A few bramble scratches. Dent on rear roof. Cracked plastic on both wing mirrors. Plastic trim on nearside front wheel arch scratched and two securing pegs snapped – so taped to body to stop wind lifting it and breaking the other 7 pegs. So not a super smart vehicle but it would take you all around Europe tomorrow and reliably – what ever rural roads Googlemaps might direct you down – rutted forrest roads in Romania or brambly lanes in Devon. Go anywhere – with a beautifully crafted wooden interior by Jack Porter. He put his heart and soul into converting this for himself – carefully matching the grain on the cupboard doors, mood lighting, wicked sound system with Bluetooth – even an internal hammock if you want for lying in at festivals and chatting out of the side door. But the double front passenger seat spins round to give you a huge living space – so it was always a social hub at festivals when Jack had it. I bought it off him 3 years later and took it on a 3 month trip to Romania and Italy. It was a star and 6 gears on autobahns was ideal. The next year I did Scotland and the next Pembrokeshire and this year Devon. But I’m now moving to Africa and can’t take it. So it’s time to part ways and let someone else enjoy it. You’ll be so proud every time someone pops their head in when the side door is open and wows at the interior Jack did.
I’m 6ft and can easily fit on the single bed across the van at the back. But the double bed easily pulls out from under that. There’s a vewly-serviced Eberspracher heater and room thermostat. A clean and sparkling oven with grill. Gas hob, Fridge with freezer compartment. Tap and sink. Water is from two 25 litre containers (easy to fill from mountain water pipes). Curtains all around – snug as a bug. Large solar panel and two leisure batteries – new last year. CD player in front too. Loads of storage – cubbyhole above seats, drawers and cupboards everywhere and storage under the bench seating in the back, and under the bed from via the back doors. A great van. A joy to own and inspires you to make more adventures.
Even a reversing camera for parking in cities. Tow bar. Thule Omnistore awning (only used 3 times since new) and new Thule Bikerack (never fitted).
A mixture of woods all sanded and varnished. Done by a propper carpenter. Soft close doors. Wood-effect laminate floor. Lovely
Single bed which pulls-out to make a double. A kid could sleep on the cushioned bench seat or even in the hammock.
