Vehicle is in all round good condition and is MOT’d till July 2025 and drives great but she is an older vehicle so has some age related bumps and bruises of course.
Starts and drives perfectly, however there is a slight squeak starting from what sounds like the rear driver side wheel, I’m think it might be the breaks? Doesn’t effect driving out breaking though still goes as you’d want it to.
I’ve spent around 2K in the last couple of months on wielding, rust etc so the underside is completely sealed and dry.
Also recently had ball joints and break pads done. Has been serviced every 7 or 8 months since I’ve owned it but done the work myself so is not on the service history.
Like I said earlier starts first time and has plenty of oomph in the engine, hasn’t ever let me down.
I built and then lived in this van for about 2 years, selling as I’ve now settled in Plymouth and it’s too big to drive around as a ‘daily commute’ and I need the money to buy myself a car. (Not looking for a swap thought thank you.)
The van is fully insulated and sound proofed and holds the heat really well in the cold. Storage wise it has 2 very large drawers, a cupboard (that holds the gas for the cooker, see pics), a large storage area under one of the seats, the standard overhead storage and a large area at the back under the bed.
The bed is memory foam, it’s slightly smaller than a small double bed (I had to cut an inch off to make it fit)
The electrical setup is really simple. I just run the 12v lights and 230v plug socket (under/on bench seat) on their own plug to a ‘Jackery 300’ power station.
The fridge is just a cool box that I’ve put on a runner under the bench seat. It’s a decent one and keeps I’ve frozen for 4/5 days and cold for a further 2/3 days before I the ice/packs need to be changed out. This could easily be changed out for a 12v camper style fridge with minimal effort though.
Equipped with 2 hob gas burner (butane bottle has just been changed and is full still) and 25L water Jerry can with electric (rechargeable) pump/tap.
I have also fitted a single ‘captains’ chair in the front in place of the standard bench seat, this enables access to the rear of the cab without actually having to leave the vehicle which is perfect at night or when pulling over for the evening in a busier area.
Van has done 183700 miles and is an older vehicle but really does run great, well looked after and serviced regularly!
Any questions give me a message!
