Vehicle Description

Ford transit camper
I bought this van in January this year and it’s been brilliant, I will be sad to see it go but I’m looking for something a bit bigger this time round. The van is great for weekends away as you can get a quick shower at the rear of the van and there is room for a chemical toilet if needed.

The van has been very reliable and I have been using it everyday for driving to and from work so it hasn’t been sat idle for weeks at a time. The engine is very smooth running and is solid. It has plenty of power for getting up hills.
I bought the van in January from an older gentleman who lived down the road from me and he has taken good care of it and spent a lot of time maintaining the van.
When I bought the van he had recently had it serviced, new alternator fitted and starter battery. New tyres and rust treated, which clearly shows as it starts up great first time always and drives brilliantly for the age.
There are some age related marks on the exterior of the van which is to be expected of something this age but nothing too bad compared to others that I’ve seen.

The van has a split charge going to two leisure battery’s in the rear which are also to connected to solar so they stay topped up when you’re not driving. There is also a socket on the exterior for campsite hook up.

The interior is well laid out and feels very roomy for a smaller van. The couches are in a L shape which pull out into a bed. There is also storage underneath which is great. There is plenty of windows all round so it’s nice and bright. The windows have fitted pull down blinds and there is also a pop up roof vent for ventilation.

The kitchen is well equipped with a good sized fridge and freezer compartment. A two burner hob with the gas tank connected in the rear of the van. The sink is also a good size with a draining board and a 12v tap with hot water when connected to campsite power.
There is a digital tv fitted with the aerial on the roof and I have also had my ps4 hooked up to it which has been good for watching films and playing games. I replaced the existing inverter for a new and better one and I have not had any issues with running the tv and ps4 at all. There are various lighting options on the interior and a diesel night heater. The van gets warm very quickly as it has been insulated all round.
